Has someone hacked the eshop? Is it a novella? Why aren’t there any images in the gallery? Wtf is it? Does anyone vet what goes up on the eshop?

Some people clearly didn't spend enough of their lives playing the classic* PC platformers that id put out before making first-person shooters!

*okay, pretty crummy, but incredibly technically impressive for PC games at the time

Finally, Towerfall is a bit on sale. May pick that up!

Towerfall is one of my favourite games ever. I love the multiplayer and played enough of the single player to beat all the levels on Hardcore...

Do we know if the Phoenix Wright release in Japan is in English and Japanese? Really tempted to get it from there, rather than wait for a Western release.

I believe it is. Play Asia says so, as do my favourite guys in Shanghai that I buy imports from.

Whoa, hold it right there!!! There’s a decent single player mode :o!?! I’ve had this sat on my PS4 forever having bought it purely for the crazy super highly rated MP experience to try and show GF of the time that games were fun!! She hated it (actually hated games fullstop) and I’ve never loaded it up since!!! Please tell

me the SP mode is even half decent as I loved what little time I spent on it in MP :)

Yeah the Towerfall single player stuff is still lots of fun. Waves of enemies to defeat, bosses and a load of timed puzzle challenges too.

I’ve played hours and hours of single player. I love it.

Holly cow!! I honestly can’t believe I never knew that, I’ve been longing to play it for aaaages (read about 4 years!)!! On the one hand what a knob, but on the other hallebloodylujah :omg: !!

I paid about £3.50 for Rogue Aces and it's pretty good fun. I'm enjoying it more than Ikaruga, which I'm completely rubbish at and am getting fed up of replaying the same sections of in a vain attempt to progress. I can't even do the second bloody level on easy mode.

The eShop is a bit of a nightmare to navigate/know what's good. Is there a list of the must have/best games to get? Have a £15 voucher needing spent.

https://opencritic.com/browse/switch

Look through that list. Some of the games are available on cart, obviously, but there are a lot of really good download-only titles too. From personal experience, I can strongly recommend Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight and World of Goo. Avoid Owlboy - it looks very pretty but the gameplay is paper thin.

My personal recommendations, in no particular order:

Wargroove

Hollow Knight

Into The Breach

The Messenger

Just Shapes And Beats

Voez

Katamari Damacy Reroll

Don't Die Mr Robot

Golf Story

What kind of genres might you fancy? I'm sure people would be able to give some good recommendations if you can narrow it down a bit.

Hollow Knight - many folks' GOTY, challenging Metroidvania crossed with Souls-lite exploration, combat and atmosphere.

Wargroove - tactical turn-based strategy in vein of Advance Wars, lots of character and content.

Stardew Valley - farming-based crack for those who dig it.

Steamworld Dig 2 - relaxing, satisfying Metroidvania with a very addictive loop.

Undertale - quirky fourth wall breaking RPG with bullet hell elements and countless secrets.

These are all very popular and well regarded, though I'm not crazy about any of them. I'd say Ikaruga and Garou Mark of the Wolves/The Last Blade 2 would be the best I'd get for the money.
