Let’s just see if any of the games in my watchlist are on sale, such as Majora’s Mask or Fire Emblem… no, of course they’re not. :)

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia has a DLC season pass that costs more than the game did on release. It has never been on sale and never will.

Ditto! Seems like a weirdly low-key event to drop it in with but I’ll take it. 
 

It makes me feel so old to think how long ago I played Golf Story. That was two Switches ago!

Sports Story might be the first game I've ever bought before seeing a single impression/review.

 

Loved Golf Story - but there must have been unspoken development hell with this one being five years in the making. Fully expecting to encounter some issues. Even the relatively focused Golf Story had a few difficulty spikes IIRC.

It is pretty buggy and unpolished, unfortunately. Also some design weirdness going on. I’ll persevere for a bit longer before deciding whether to wait for a patch, though. Seems like the publisher really wanted those Christmas sales.

That's a shame but they are already on it. I presume they don't have a huge testing team as well.

Amazon are selling the eShop code for Monster Hunter Stories 2 Deluxe for £22.14 at the moment.

 

When you redeem the code, Nintendo reckon it's £60 so you get £3 of gold coins, and if you have the expansion pass, another £3.

 

Been on my Wishlist, couldn't refuse, especially as I got a £20 Amazon voucher for Christmas

Is Soccer Story on Gamepass any use instead?

Soccer Story is fun but the actual football part isn't great. Fortunately most of the game is exploration based so you just have to hold your nose through the matches (the last one got seriously annoying and cheap). It was also a buggy mess but has now been patched up. Well worth a play.

It seems decent actually, but I do feel a bit daft having bought it specifically to play a game nearly as old as me they included as a bonus. It's a shame I bought it at peak busy season, I'd almost forgotten I had it already.

I have never, ever played Bubble Bobble, despite the NES version of Rainbow Islands being the fourth (I think) game I ever played. Well excite!
