Is there any chance of this being a direct sequel to the Super Mario Bros..1993 movie? That ended with such a cliffhanger! Would be cool to finally see how it all plays out.

They should make this film using Frank Reynolds quotes, like in that Detective Pikachu trailer. Plenty of material to work with.

It's funny cause my sister maintains to this day she saw that sequel.

 

It'd be great, since I loved that film, but Hoskins is dead right? So is the guy who played Bowser I think. Its always weird seeing Harrys aunt in that film, she looks the same age as in the HP films.

It’s a shame Hoskins is gone. The movie is trash but he’s actually pretty perfect as Mario.

I wonder how theyre going to do the voice because lets face it, Mario and Luigi are full on stereotypes when they speak. Some people will call it racist (you can see it already). Mario also sounds shit when he speaks for a long time.

I'm a bit miffed it's not live action. But then, a flesh and blood Toad would be horrific and it would be Peter Dinklage or Warrick Davies or a CGI downsized John Cena.

I'm sure he'll be fine and lets face it the reaction to anyone being chosen as Mario was going to be the same because we've had 20 odd years of him sounding like a stereotypical Italian characature saying nothing more than "itssa-me-mario", "wahhoooo" and "ooooh noooo"
