F1 has launched its online subscription service F1TV PRO. All sessions live, pre/post-race interviews and press conferences, exclusive access to all driver on-board cameras and all the main support races.

Priced at $8-$12 a month, available in four different languages English, French, German and Spanish and the following countries Germany, France, USA, Mexico, Belgium, Austria, Hungary and much of Latin America.

Looks excellent but of course not likely available in the UK until 2025 thanks to the Sky deal.

Sky provides the English commentary so I doubt we'll ever see this subscription service in the UK. Of course F1's popularity will have gone the way of cricket by 2025 so we all probably won't care by that point anyway.

:omg:

First time ever this season that I won't have a way of watching all races live. Gave up on paying £££ to Sky for the pleasure. Might see if they will accept a signup/payment from a UK source and if so, will VPN it. Would happily pay around £10 a month or so for it.

I'm going with the tried and tested "steal it from the internet" approach. Saved a fortune dumping Sky Sports from my VM sub, I only really had it for the F1, I could take or leave the rest of it.

Had a look at Now TV and it seemed to be potentially pretty pricey - say 2 races per month, that's still about £16 if you get the Day Pass.

I'm going to end up doing NowTV but only on the days when I happen to be home at race time anyway, which doesn't happen all too often.  We tend to go out if Mr Sprite is off work so if he's working, and it's not on C4, then I'll buy the day pass.

I get most of my sports day passes from ebay, usually £4-5, sometimes can get them around £3 it varies throughout the year. You have to be careful though as some of them, especially the very cheap ones will be from things like the Pringles offer which are limited to one per account, but the listing will usually note that.

They do have the occasional sales as well, if you don't leave it until the last minute to get your pass and keep an eye on ebay and the sales you can save money, think I've only bought one full price in the last few years.

Cheers everyone :hat: - will look into sourcing them elsewhere.

Definitely want to keep track of it this year. Not missed a full race (either live or watching delayed tapes) since Australia 1988, barring the weird bit post-Suzuka 2014 where the Bianchi thing kind of dulled my interest in watching for the rest of the year.

Last year bored the absolute tits off me when Verstappen wasn't on one, I dunno if I can face another season of racing (aha) home from work to catch the start only for Merc and Ferrari to trade circuits they're strong at.

Ive also found if I don't watch it live, I don't watch it at all so recording it does nothing for me.

Surely the other teams have to get closer, right?

Liberty have apparently offered Sky the opportunity of up-selling the F1 Digital package through them in the UK. Whilst on one-hand that's good news, it pretty much would mean it'd be about 5x the price it would be elsewhere in the world.

Hamilton fastest today.

I really am even less bothered about F1 than I was last year. I will catch the odd race live probably, and definitely the British GP.
