Yeah at least you dont have to remove the battery when you change game with Leeds.

Er......read into that what you will :/

When you change game with Leeds, you need to turn the power grid off, so the football match stops, it's almost the same thing

Nope, you have to remove the battery as well, or the card won't slide out.

Seems like a decent first stab, but has a huge way to go, especially with regards to Japanese developer support. Nokia's recent cool patent (see OT) could give its successor a good USP.

Does that mean that HariboKart doesn't know what he's talking about? I be the doesn't really have one  he just likes to be in losing arguements about inferior kit ;) The Ngage I think is a bit too ahead of its time.. not really in a clever way, just that the technology isn't there yet. if it's meant to be a phone, then they shouldn't have designed it as a massive chunky bugger, the insides needed for the thing are too big tfor it to be a practical phone. So I agree, I suppose it's a good start, but they should have waited.. or developed it and given it to a company that's established with games.

To be fair, he didn't explicitly argue against needing to take the battery out to change the game, he just declared someone's opinion invalid, citing a rather odd NGage-Leeds analogy as proof...

I remember a few gardening centres I was dragged to as a kid sold a console system and it had a number as the name. It stuck in my mind because gardenning centres are so bloody boring apart from the pet section at the back

why exactly is a machine that plays games, emus, mp3s, movies, radio and works as a phone shit?

It plays bad games, it emulates badly, it's got rubbish mp3 capability, it doesn't play very good quality movies plus on a tiny screen, it's massive and ugly and so you look like a prat if you use it like a phone.

The best thing about that item is the comments about it:

Hah! What a crock of shit. Go buy a real handheld console. This piece of shit doesnt even have colour. And look at the games! I'd rather have the cash than one of those.

What a sad waste of time. Companies such as this one should be eradicated.

WOW, move over PS2, Xbox and GameCube, stop wasting time with high end PC's, this is the future...the M-Gage, check out the graphics and the raw processing power of this machine, and the ORIGINAL look which doesnt look like anything i've ever seen before. this is truly amazing, i think i'll buy 10 of them just incase something happens to one, i can always have a spare.....and then i'll cover myself with blood and swim with sharks because they're man's best friend.

Another issue is the impending release of the PSP (only about 12 saving months left!), which might be good (Konami launch title? Castlevania? PES? Who knows!), which requires saving up, and there's a chance that the Nintendo DS will be more than a novelty (more saving). Folk don't just buy a new format on the basis of "Wow, look at all those bullet points!".

Because before-their-time convergence devices are always rubbish jack-of-all-trades that cost too much and do what they do worse than the products they replace?
