Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - Operation Grand Heist: Super Money Warfare Shooting Turbo

Recommended Posts

I’m so shit at this game at the moment, just running around trying to learn the maps and getting my arse handed to me.

But I love it.

I also managed to unlock the Recon specialist character in Blackout mode - not really sure how.

To answer my own query, I found this guide on how to unlock specialists in Blackout.  It's nice that I managed to fluke one without knowing how (don't even remember picking up ching coins):

Ajax

You can unlock Ajax in Blackout by defeating enemies who are wearing armor pieces. This specialist mission will start when you find the “Broken Armor Plating” item, which can be found on eliminated players.  Once you have the item, you will need to knockout more players who are wearing armor, putting the broken armor in your inventory after the kill.

Ajax will be unlocked in Blackout if you finish the match with three broken armor pieces in your inventory.

Torque

The mission to unlock Torque in Blackout will activate when you find the “Note from Torque” item in a Supply Drop.  Once you find the Note from Torque, you will have to deploy two Razor Wires, use a Barricade and then finish in the top 7.  Razor Wires and Barricades can be found as items on the ground. It is not necessary to wait to use the items until you find the note, however the note will have to be in your inventory at the end of the match to unlock Torque in Blackout.

Recon

Good news for Recon fans, he has one of the easier missions in Black Ops 4. To unlock Recon in Blackout, you will need to find an item called Ching Coins.  Ching Coins can be found in Supply Drops and crates, you will need to finish the match with Ching Coins in your inventory.  In addition to the coins, you will have to finish in the top 7 and avoid taking circle damage for the entire match.

Crash

To unlock Crash in Blackout you will have to find the Poker Chips item, equip 15 healing items and finish a match in the top 3.  It is important that you finish the match with the 15 healing items in your inventory, ones you use will not count.

Battery

Battery’s Specialist Weapon, the War Machine, is the key to unlocking Battery in Blackout.  You will have to find the War Machine and eliminate players with it, then finish in the top 15 of a match.

Firebreak

You can unlock Firebreak in Blackout by finding the “Burned Doll” item in Supply Drops and crates.  Killing enemies with fire damage is the next step, which can be with a Molotov item or Firebreak’s Specialist Weapon. If you got a fire kill and you end a match with the Burned Doll item in your inventory, Firebreak will be available in Blackout.

Prophet

TBD

Seraph

TBD

Ruin

TBD

Nomad

TBD

I never thought I'd want to go back to CoD - I loathed the WW2 beta.  The last FPS I put loads of time into was BF1, but all my mates deserted me when WW2 came out last year!  They'll all getting this so I'm starting to contemplate it - they've all said I'd like it more than the last few CoD titles.  Please could someone answer a couple of questions for me, which are pretty much dealbreakers for me!

1. Is teamwork rewarded more than in previous titles?

2. Quickscoping - still prevalent?  (God I hate quickscopers)

3. Are the game types varied?

4. Is it right that there's no campaign mode this time?

Many thanks!

1. Yes - especially in Blackout.

2. Still there, but hasn't been too annoying for me in multiplayer at all.  The snipers still have to be pretty skilled.

3. Yep, there's pretty much every mode you could hope for in this.

4. There's a single player lite version to get you to grips with all the specialists in the game, but it doesn't compare to the old single player campaigns.  To be honest the tradeoff of having an unbelievable battle royale mode, a rock solid multiplayer mode and 3 zombies campaigns is well worth it.

It's a no-brainer.  Buy it!

For some reason my son is getting constant double XP, any clue as to why that would be? We are both confused and nothing found in a Google search.

No, Shopto and he hasn't used any codes.

Well I've just played this three days solid and have not improved one bit!

Is it possible that I don't have the natural ability EVERYONE else has to play FPS? I rarely finish off the bottom of the table, I lose 99% of one to ones.

Might it be my 12MBs broadband?

There has to be some reason I am consistently shit no matter how long I play?

I originally put it down to the vicious circle of not playing long enough to improve/not playing for long as I'm shit.

Bit depressing really, lol.

I love this sort of game so it's annoying I can't compete at even an average level. Ho hum.

Moved from the Rampart to the ICR-7 for a few games... Massive improvements on my game.

@Pug I generally finish bottom myself. Not that should make you feel any better as I am shit.

My reactions aren't what they used to be, I used to routinely finish top 3 in these games and now I can barely string 3 kills together.

Blackout is growing on me, though, I like how it rewards being neat and tidy when you route through buildings, leaving no trace of being somewhere can really help!

Can someone hide this post from sprite please? It'll only encourage her constant OCD-like closing of doors and making me think places are unlooted

Blackout is the highlight for me. I can usually scrape a finish in the top 80 ((null)) but last night I managed to get a second place finish with 6 kills. Nerves went to shit after that though, next 4 or 5 games went back to my usual skill level.

MrKerblammo on PSN if anyone wants to try duos/squads. There's only so much (not very wolf like) lone wolfing I can do.

I was playing a bunch of Duo's with randoms last night and each time the fucking other guy just straight turned around and shot me.

Like seriously maddening.... I didn't expect friendly fire to be on for teams :/

Straight up, you're playing on a big TV with input lag, it's the only reason why you'd make no improvement at all, it's full of kids with lightning reflexes, quick fingers and playing on monitors to be competitive.

I’ve been reading impressions all week while on holiday and after being impressed with the beta (although I didn’t play much Blackout) I can’t wait to we home and smash it over the weekend.

Sadly my psn friends list doesn’t seem to be into this, so there may be some invites fired out tomorrow (‘pls be my friend’ etc)

I've seen this in regards to YouTube streamers. Even on console they're all using Asus monitors with like 1ms lag.

Yes, this is my experience with all online shooters. I've tried to make it better in every way apart from getting a monitor. It's all been in vain. At least I can take solace from knowing I shoot first on my screen.

Its the only way to be competitive in any shape or form, I’ve got a 4K OLED TV and an Xbox One X and PS4 Pro But I still play games on a 1080p gaming monitor, it makes such a huge difference.

What screens are people playing on that give such extra lag - my plasma is 1080p and we have a low latency 1080p monitor and I much prefer gaming on the plasma over the monitor even if on paper it has lower lag.

Loadout seems to me to have far more impact unless you are in the top 10% chasing that final 5% of advantage an ultra low lag screen offers!

Unless you have some awful LED with loads of processing turned on of course!

Your input lag will be similar to a gaming monitor on a plasma.

But most people retired their plasma TV’s years ago.

they will be playing on high latency LED or OLED TV’s with game modes that have almost half a second of delay on average.

Makes sense, cheers.

Can't change display but perhaps if I turn off HDR it might help a smidge.
