If you've played Div 2, you'll know about a certain twist and that a certain character has been an important part of it.
If you've played recently you'll also know about the Manhunt activities which have been time gated and drip fed over months and months.
If you've finished them like I did last night with my group that have been playing since the D1 beta then you will also know the crushing disappointment of an anti climax that was, sheesh, talk about a low effort ending!

Still love this game though, plays like a dream on the Series X now (60fps) and still seems to have a never ending list of stuff for us to do each week :)
WoNY hunter masks next.
I don't suppose anyone has a clan that does the Iron Horse raid at all on Xbox?

I'm part of a pretty big clan, Division UK, but haven't had the time or inclination to get in to the new raid yet. I'm also on various Discord servers that have regular noob runs. There's a YouTuber called GCRock who seems to have a pretty healthy community.

The raid looks great but I don't get on until late most night so will likely just procrastinate about doing it forever. I used to love running the Destiny raids with a regular team but when you're hooking up with randoms it just gets stressful.

Cheers, I actually joined GRocks Discord just yesterday!
I burned myself out on the first raid, 25ish attempts to get a (crap) Eagle Bearer :) Im ready to go again I think.

Had a quick blast on the series x update and my word this is so good at 60fps, shame my save isn’t carried across from my PS4 save as out a lot of hours into it when it launched!

I just had a go last night, what was supposed to be a quick look at it ended up me continuing on for about an hour after the guy I had been doing some missions with went to bed.

I could see myself getting back into it, i played a lot of the first one, but the stats and specialisations feel overwhelming at this point. The menu system even seems unfriendly.

Inventory management is an utter chore. You get so much stuff and with recalibration and optimisation, the dismantle paralysis is real.

Having said that, I've been having a great time with this the last few weeks hunting down all the exotics. Have most of them now and there are some very fun builds and play styles to be had. Just a shame the content has been a bit light this year.

If you have the new season pass, I definitely recommend the Scorpio shotgun. Insane fun teamed up with the Hunters Fury gear set.

Sigh, just take us back to NYC in the Winter and the rest of the five boroughs please (for Div3).

Good on 'em for continuing support though.

Division 2 was worse than the first in so many ways. The shock factor and shiny newness was gone, the story was worse, the location was worse, the atmosphere was worse, there was just “more” of everything regardless of whether or not it was needed…

The best bit of the division franchise was the dlc where you were in a blizzard and it was all about survival. You had to survive and find clothes and food and stuff or you wouldn’t survive, so survival really was the name of the game. You could do coop to survive and it made it a bit easier to survive. You had to survive against the weather, survive against those hunters, survive against hypothermia. I think it was called “The Division: Don’t Die”.

Survival was absolutely brilliant and felt a bit ahead of it's time, in the console space at least, in a big budget game. Played it to death, great stuff.

So from what I’ve just read about Countdown it sounds like a horde mode. I mean, is that it? The devs were acting like they had this innovative and refreshing new mode to spring on us, so I’m hoping Countdown isn’t supposed to fulfil that brief.

Nah, it’s a pretty basic objective mode. Clear the rooms, diffuse the bomb, shoot the mans, get to da chopper, extract etc

Fired this up today, after about a year since I last played and spent half an hour emptying my stash so I could actually play the thing. Played 2 rounds and it was all full again and I had no idea if any of it was any good so just turned it off. To me it felt almost identical to the Skyscraper mode they did last time.

There’s a another level of proficiency levelling which is like 1% of something you can allocate to something or other the more you play. Not very exciting.

There is nowhere near enough here to bring back a lapsed player, it’s purely for the hardcore who just want to keep playing The Division. I guess, given the lengthy delay, its really all they are trying to achieve with it. Just keep the devotees invested until they make another one. Maybe.

Oh and the frame rate on the XBSX was all over the place on some the Countdown levels. Don’t remember that ever being a thing with Div2
