Source?

SNK. They were up for preorder on Amazon Jp last week. (No international shipping for the Jp version and no pre orders for Europe yet)

 pre-order on Amazon.jp, 12420¥ is currently £85... So £89.99 over here then?

https://www.amazon.co.jp/SNKプレイモア-NEOGEO-mini/dp/B07DWGTHDJ/?th=1

And controllers are apparently 3000¥, which will probably end up as £29.99...

So the base unit is sold without controllers - of which you need two.

£150 for the whole set then. It's not cheap, but just within what I thought was reasonable. I'm probably in.

As a guy who still mutters "Geeeese" whenever he sees geese on the road, I need this in my life...

150 for the machine and a black and white controller?

thats almost current gen console prices

it makes my NES and SNES classic look a bargain.

does anyone 3D print a mini Neo geo AES pi case?

It's not cheap that's for sure. But wasn't the NES mini £90 with just one controller as well? And that one didn't even feature a built in joystick or a tiny screen.

EDIT: Scratch that. NES mini was £60. Making the NeoGeo mini bloody expensive indeed. Damn.

I paid £49 retail for my NES mini, with a free £5 gift card

I'm just glad I left off 3rd-party new prices from that chart:

I wonder how many sold at £228?

What happened to cause the spike in the middle?

The NES Mini was/is £49.99. SNES Mini is £69.99. £89.99 for a unit with a screen built in seems like good value to a Nobby No Mates like me.

Screen and joystick looks pretty awkward to use, factor in two extra controllers onto that price!

End of production in april:

and the price fall-off began in the september, when they announced:
