Not a strategy fan but even I played the original Xcom for a few hours. I'll enjoy Trials though. A bit of an average month again but I guess we can't have Bloodborne-standards every time.

I found it really hard to click (read I didn't) with Trials Fusion. Just seemed a bit cluttered, I wasn't too keen on the cheesy womans voice and the graphic style wasn't that pleasing to my eye either.

Shame as I was a huge fan of both Trials HD1 & 2.

Vanilla xcom 2 wasn't bad, but was extremely disappointing to me, this might encourage me to buy the expansion which supposedly makes it a much better game as I only have the base game on xbone which I never play.

It adds a lot, but I wouldn't recommend it on PS4 because it runs so poorly and still hasn't had some pretty bad bugs patched out. I played through it, but decided not to do an Ironman run after because it was so unreliable.

And, even with all the extra content I didn't think it really felt like a £35 expansion. It's still the same game with lots of small new things piled on top, rather than a significantly new experience.

Well I've been tempted to double-down on X-com for a while now since I gave up on it after it ran like absolute shite on launch for PC (it's probably fine now but most of my gaming is PS4 anywho) so this is pretty cool! :)

Xcom 1 (remake version) was pretty over hyped. Not half as good as many made out, it was fun yet overall they cut a lot of corners.

Xcom 2 is much better, although it still has niggles with the inconsistent UI / UX design while on the ship/map.

Was Trials Fusion on it before? I own it but can't imagine buying it, unless it was really cheap sometime.

Many moons ago Ubi/Sony made a Store screw up, making the game free for a very short period of time. You may have grabbed it at that point. I did, yet never played it.

Looking forward to x-Com. Have been broadcasting this month's Rayman offering to Twitch as a PS+ Let's Play thing although I've not used my mic at all as let's face it with Rayman it'd just be "for fucks sake, died again" over and over. From the sounds of it with x-Com I could at least think aloud on what I need to do.

Really good month, but a month off for me.

Already have Trials Fusion and have no interest in XCOM. Purely because I cannot get on with the management side of things. I've tried with previous entries and similar games, but just cannot get my head around them. They are clearly good games, but not for me.

Xcom 2 is brilliant. I recommend to anyone familiar with the format to try one of the harder difficulty levels. Bradigor, the management aspect is very light in this one, and crucially it's not like Xcom 1 where it was quite easy to screw yourself just via base building.

Is that the case... Good to know. Will give it a blast at some point
