Yeah I've been thinking about it, it'll be just like the other 'press press, then press' moves, ie, don't do the last press til late in the animation of the second attack.

Omg it's nearly dmc stream time! Dante baby!

Manged to get an hour on this last night, having played a fair amount of DMC3 the menu sound effects are just

Got to the first

Spoiler

Telephone Box and bought double jump and extra reach for my arm.

Getting back into launching and juggling enemies is nice, but can’t wait to get more weapons and skills. I remember enemy step being big in DMC3 so will save up for that. Zipping between tentacles with the arm is good fun, I can see that coming into play more later on. Cut scenes aren’t bad either so far.

Yep, mine too. Absolutely loved that fight.

In other news, i finished the main story last night. Time to dip back in. Might do it on a easy run to absolutely annihilate everything, and also build up my remaining upgrades ready for Son of Sparda.

Probably my favourite fight in the whole game

Hehehe I proper stomped him! I got hit a bunch, but I kept accidentally hitting his attacks, felt like such a boss. Mashing jab with balrog seems a bit OP!

Dodging his attaks using Balrogs welter move like you are fucking Flloyd Mayweather

Sure, I got still twatted because I either missed the timing on the final attack in a combo or just got too excited with my counters but with practice almost every boss and enemy is going get laughed at using Balrog!

Is this as good as Bayo 2?

Its the best in genre, for me. I'm not a super high level player or anything, but in terms of action, variety, presentation, characters, etc etc it's just sublime.

Hmmm this says there's a timer, I hope we can turn it off?  I don't like that pressure in these sorts of modes.  I just want a chill, endless fighting mode.

The loading times are definitely more noticeable on a second play through, as you just want to get shit done, without any interruptions. I'm really really enjoying my second run however, as I am a lot more tooled up, and i'm better at the game now, so the fighting feels better than ever.

Cant wait for Bloody Palace.... I just want non stop enemies to tear apart. Fingers crossed they include a 'no timer' mode. I notice that  was an option in the Ninja Theory DMC, so you never know.

I think it's better than Bayo. More combat variety with three different characters, more depth with Dante, more appealing art and none of the pseudo platforming, QTE nonsense and overblown Sega hommages that were a real knock on Bayo imo.

Bloody Palace will be the cherry on top.
