I've accepted your request. I've noticed on leaderboards and in the race intro bits that show other players, everyone else has an Ubi logo next to their name, but I don't on my own player, as though my Ubi account isn't linked to it, despite me connecting, getting the free rewards, etc.

Well bugger me with a splintery fence post if Ubisoft didn't actually go ahead and deliver my copy yesterday morning :D!!!

 

I'd nipped out and lady that was in doing some admin for me had taken it in and safely popped it to one side!!!

 

Big thumbs up to Ubi for their insanely quick delivery as it did indeed leave Germany on Tuesday and got here at 10:08 yesterday :hat:!!

 

Right time to add a few more of you (I've got a few of you pending so please check your Ubi accounts) and then have a half an hour of my late lunch getting acquainted with my latest serving of digital crack!! 

 

Also I'm Xbox one as LaughingAssasin so fellow Xboxers please add me as a brief look on here seems to suggest that the Ubi friends thing isn't quite the real deal.

That's a good chunk  of the reason I picked going on XB1. That and it's X enhanced and hopefully if MS carry on with their backwards compatibility I'll be able to carry the game over to the next xbox.

I think it's all tied into levelling up and completing the stadium finals to unlock the new areas and contracts to earn level XP. I'm yet to get there myself, but dude here says get to level 58 and complete the Montreal Mayhem stadium and that unlocks the next Pro Tour C where the hard tracks start...

I do miss those familiar names on my leaderboards :( I did get it cheap on XB1 with using some MS rewards points for XB credit, so maybe I could double dip :eyebrows:

Took a while, but I got myself into the hard tracks now. I would say to others don't instantly dismiss the gear crates, even if you're not arsed about customising your rider/bike, you can sell lots of the bits that come in them to add a bit to your funds allowing you to buy the Helium and Donkey bikes quicker, which then unlocks more contracts for using them to complete challenges for more XP for levelling up faster. Get the stadium finals done to open out into the new areas for more tracks with more contracts available. Go into the Club menu and get the Ubisoft sponsor from the rewards tab to unlock those contracts.

Hope this is better than Fusion - I’ve bought it without knowing too much about it. I loved HD and Evo but couldn’t stand Fusion, for some reason. IIRC it had awful loading times as well. 

 

I've (LaughingAssasin) added you too. In fact the reason I nipped on here just now was to see if any more Xbox players had showed up as my friends list for this is a little on the light side (though Meatball alone had me chasing one time (still not bettered it!) on a track for probably about three hours yesterday, arrrghhhhh :doh:!!!!)!!! Hopefully some more people will show up soon :).

 

As for your feelings re the first the previous Trials games, I felt exactly the same. The first two were superb with me sinking hours and hours into them often just chasing a tenth here and there . Fusion though, man I was so so disappointed by it. I loathed the look of it and as much as I'm sure it's probably a very similar game in so many ways, it just felt (and to me looked) wrong. Probably spent less than ten hours in total on it. Perhaps I should give it another chance some day. 

 

Right having just read MBs hints and tips I'm off to get stuck into this for another hour or tw...elve.

That was what I was worried about after playing the initial beta. It seems like they've brought the classic Trials feel back when you're actually playing, but all the nonsense they've built around it really needs to do one.

 

I'll be waiting for a sale, I think.

That sounds bloody awful. I only really enjoy trials for the harder tracks, the easier ones leave me cold and having to do stupid backflips and front flips to grind to the harder difficulty levels puts me right off.

I only play Trials for the user created tracks. I thought the ones i found on Trials Evolution (XBox 360) were far more varied, impressive and creative than the ones I found on Trials Fusion (PS4). I sometimes wonder if all the better tracks were uploaded to XBone, but seeing as PS4 has become the standard console for most as XBox 360 was, probably not. Or maybe the tool kit is more difficult than before, or the search function isn't good. The reason to play for user created tracks and not the developer ones is be-;e;;g-

I’m level 52 (not a tribute act) and the next stadium unlocks at 58. I have about 4 contracts to clear, which I’m not having great success at. Is there a cheap way to grind XP rather than the 100-200 or so you get for repeating courses?

I actually beat a couple of people’s high scores!!

 

I am assuming this is because people are racing through to open the harder tracks, but I’ll take it for now

 

spanx75 on PS4 btw. Always looking for more people to try and beat. And failing.
