So where’s the cut off then? Is it the monetary amount? Is cheating in transfers under £20m OK? Under £15m? Or is it that cheating at a youth level is OK, but senior level cheating is crossing a line? Maybe it’s only bad if there’s a distasteful email leaked.

Man City already did this in 2014. They've continued.

Your thrust was "Oh it's a bit rich saying they've got the best team"...because they have already admitted to doing it to secure top players..."When Liverpool admitted to once offering a kids family some incentives"...which in no way correlates to being able to afford top players - and their wages, along with the coach.

Yeah so it's unfair to comment on proven cheats Man City, and the fact that it looks like they're still doing it, because Liverpool did something that is more of a dice roll as opposed to cooking the books to be able to buy the title.

Easy.

Liverpool are definitely always above board with transfers. Ask Virgil Van Dijk.

People may be having issues reading or understanding.

That city have broken the rules, and continue to do so, around FFP has helped them win, win, win.

The whole point of bringing it in was to stop this.

I guess if your mindset is of a low league scrapper, bang it up long son!!!, perhaps you don't care.

And then you bemoan the gap between the bigger clubs and yourselves. Go figure.

Can't long ball your way to the title.

They are all at it, all the top teams across Europe.

Some are better at hiding it than others.

Exactly. Every transfer pretty much breaks the rules. Some rule breaking is more acceptable than others. (Or do transfers really get offered, negotiated and completed five minutes after the transfer window opens?)

Nope. My thrust was it strikes me as odd to try and rally support for Liverpool to win the title on moral grounds.

No it isn't. Comment away.

Yeah... Sounds suspiciously like you're wandering down the 'poor plucky underdog' route there.

Nothing in the rules against accepting an offer and allowing your player to agree terms outside of the transfer window, so this is a non-point.

I think the idea of morality at any level of professional football or elite sport is laughable. Everyone will do what they can within their power to gain an advantage.

No fan in the world supports a team because said team's morality is unquestioned. What a strange discussion to waste your time on.

Sorry not sure what you’re talking about here, I was just replying in general to Plisskens point.

The FFP rules are there to protect the established clubs who don’t want new clubs moving in on their territory. Good on Manchester City.

Stop being so negative

Oh come on, the last three games have seen us get progressively worse in all areas of the pitch.

Could see this a mile off. I would be delighted to be wrong though.
