Maybe families haven't yet notified everyone they want to notify before going public. And they probably want to be absolutely sure of the identities of all who were on board before announcing the death of someone who wasn't on it but could have been.

Palace beating Arsenal, I expect we'll fuck up the second half and gift them 3 easy goals but for now I'm pretending we aren't a team that predictably throws points away.

Big plus this game is Zaha showing a wider audience what we Palace see every week, which is that he's 90% class and 10% whinging tart (as oppose to the opposite, which seems to be the consensus from a lot of other fans)

Went to Brighton v Wolves yesterday.  Wolves were by far the better team but never looked like scoring.

Dunk, Ryan, and the other centre back were outstanding for Brighton who scored the only shot they had on target.

Wolves have now scored one goal in their last three games which were against Palace, Watford, and Brighton, which is no where near good enough.

Our next two games are against Spurs and Arsenal so we could very easily be looking at four defeats on the bounce.

Plz can I haz goal scorer.

Palace should have had two penalties today and Arsenal a goal disallowed due to a handball in the build up. That's got to grate.

Wan Bissaka looks very limited in his footballing ability but is an excellent athlete. Why does Zaha insist on rolling around in faux agony from a trip?

They've got their second penalty, although it looked soft. Zaha made it looked good.

I'll gladly take the point, we've been shite and now have a challenging (to put it mildly) run until December so anything we get from this and the next 3 are welcome.

Big concern is that I can't see us scoring from open play at the moment, 16 shots vs Arsenal's 6 towards the end yet nothing.

Also have no idea why Meyer isn't starting every week.

Why is it taking so long to confirm who was on board?

The Twitter rumour mill has brought up the name of Gareth Southgate, because he was at the game & has previously travelled back to London in the owner’s helicopter.

There’s nothing at all on any news sites or whatever, but the only thing close to confirmation that he is okay is courtesy of a reporter from the West Midlands Express & Star, who claims to have been told by the FA that he wasn’t on board.

He wasn't onboard. Numerous other reporters saying it now.

Bad enough day for football without people on Twitter making stuff up, but I suppose that goes for everything these days.

Which other reporters?

I’m not sure it was people spreading rumours in bad faith, more just the question being asked given that he’d returned from Leicester matches with Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha in the past. Same with Claude Puel.

It almost goes without saying that it is a dreadful tragedy regardless of the identity of the victims.
