Football Thread 2018/19

We've got forward/winger Benn Tollitt on an "initial short term loan" from Tranmere, so it sounds like he could be with us longer. He's about as good as they come in our league. He has had injury problems, but potentially could be a wonderful singing for us.

We've also announced, working closely with the council, that we are planning on getting a new training ground and facilities on the site of an old school bang in the centre of Wrexham in 2020. Things haven't been ideal since our old cunt owners fucked us up the arse and robbed the club of our old ace training facilities (paid for by our cup success in the 90s) at the same time they stole the ground off us, so that's ace.

A bonus announcement earlier this week was that international football returns to the Racecourse next year when Wales play Trinidad and Tobago. It's been ages since there has been one so full marks to that Salford owning cunt Ryan Giggs who was keen to get the national side back playing up north.

EDIT

This was supposed to be in the proper football thread, but fuck it.

woof, volley fabuloso

just home from Arsenal Burnley, seemed to get a bit testy every now and then but not caught up with what Dyche will be inevitably moaning about

Andros was always going to score a worldy due to the number of shots he has per match esp earlier in his career, what a hit tho!!

Burnley can’t get relegated soon enough. Fed up with them stinking up MOTD every week no matter who they face.

Totally.

Dyche doesn't play football. He shits on it, then blames the dog.

I’ve said before that I’d be happy to take the cheque for £100m and fuck off back to real football but if our mere existence in the Premier League upsets you, Hartley Sebag-Ffiennes and the various tourists that inhabit the Emirates each week then it is worth staying up just to spend that one match a season ruining your day.

Its 38 ruined matches mate, I'm not an Arsenal fan just enjoy watching decent football like virtually every other team in the league attempts. I'm sure The Championship thread is missing all those weekly hard done-by stories of plucky little Burnley and how "well" they all played each week (only eight months to go though). Playing shite football clearly isn't working out, so have you tried y'know not being shite? ManU did it today & look how well they got on!

Actually he wasn’t talking bollocks with Arsenal diving all over the place, Sokratis not even booked for an elbow (Arsenal should have ended the game with 9 and Clarets 10), clocking up a 67th consecutive PL game without a penalty after a clear push on Kevin Long (a similar incident that saw Ramsey earn a last minute winning  pelanty in the fixture last season) and another dodgy offside goal in injury time.

I’ve not been keen on him complaining when we’ve played fairly negatively in the first place but like most Clarets fans, he’s completely pissed off at being repeatedly dicked over by the officiating when we do have a go, especially when playing Arsenal.
