Lovely.

Last two series have been the most relaxing telly that I've ever watched.

I don't get any of the comparisons that have been made to "The Trip" series that I keep reading about* This just seems to be the two of them being themselves on a relaxed and extremely nice trip around fishing spots around the place. I have enjoyed The Trip, but it's a very different thing to this.

*Not on here, we know better obviously but I've read this opinion elsewhere.

The Trip is two comedians showing off to each other. This is two comedians doing the precise opposite of that. They’re both great but as you say very different.

A repeat post that the audiobook of the series is wonderful. Life-affirming, great rapport between the two and a really relaxing romp.

Bob also has an autobiography coming out in September which deals with his heart problems.

Bob is also on the latest episode of the Off Menu podcast and is predictably hilarious. He's just pure comedy. Effortlessly funny.

I saw my CPN this morning. As part of our conversation I mentioned that I had been watching one of these a night after the weans and wife go to bed. His face lit up! He said "It's brilliant isn't it! I've been recommending it to some of my other patients. It's so relaxing and you just sit with a big smile on your face during it."

So there you go. Bob and Paul are good for your mental health!

This TV Programme is just joy.  My Daughter stayed over yesterday night at ours (she is 30) and she said why are we watching a fishing show with old men.  At the end of it, she then said that was brilliant and proceeded to binge watch the previous episodes of this series on iplayer.

It's always funny, always relaxing, always sentimental, heart warming, moving and absolutely incredibly beautiful.

I'd happily watch a full days fishing, just Bob and Paul sat by a river, lake, pond, stream, reservoir and chatting, like a podcast but with the visuals and interruptions that fishing bring.

Wow, Bob with that music from Paul's mum. Right in the guts.

Probably not only the best Xmas tv but the only thing worth watching. Shame it was probably filmed in late September, but then I'd wager you really would catch fuck all if you tried it any later.
