Amazon are doing an 8-episode series based on Simon Stålenhag's sci-fi art. Legion writer Nathaniel Halpern will be the showrunner and Mark Romanek directing the pilot. Apparently it's being pushed as one of their big scope genre shows.

And The Electric State is a fucking astonishing work of art.

 

And it doesn’t hurt that Legion is one of the best shows for a decade.

That is disappointing, small village in Sweden is a much more interesting setting to me. Is the Tales From The Loop book released in America set there too?

 

It's a while since I read the book tbh but wasn't it a thing where the hover technology only worked effectively nearer the poles as it used the earth's magnetic field? I guess it could be set in Alaska.
