It tells you the number of the episodes...

Yeah but it's currently only episode 4 :P

I actually enjoyed this weeks epsiode, felt the most Trek this shows ever been. Dont get me wrong, its still not fantastic but im enjoying it and this season has been SO much better than season 2, but then again that wouldn't take much.

I can only surmise that more Riker means better times.

Would be keen for a Shaw and Seven spin off show on the Titan. More in the vein of Strange New Worlds though and less like Discovery. Something going forward and not set in the past.

Beltran revealed they offered him a role last season, but he didn’t like what they had written for him so turned it down. He had no issues with Prodigy.

He would have been Sevens husband in the dark timeline, the role played by Jon Jon Briones.

I'm very much enjoying this, except the bits with Picard in them, ironically. Patrick Stewart is the worst thing in the show so far, which bodes well for the rest of the series.

Captain No is definitely MVP.

Spoiler

"You can come on my entirely boring ship that I am on because I've lived through one excruciating hellish experience in space, but I explicitly forbid you from trying to get me and my crew killed on some stupid bullshit."

...

"Are you fucking serious?"

Oh yeah and I like that canonically, you can easily reveal a shape shifter by just giving one a good hard slap. Wish they'd known that in the Dominion War, save a lot of work on magic Changeling Detector technology.

With 24th century medicine you just normalise Tangoing people, sucker-punching folk in the dinner queue, tripping up a guy on the dance floor on Pon Farr night, etc. Starfleet just needs to act like a frat house, constantly judo-chopping each other or smashing basket balls into everyone's faces.

The RLM Nerd Crew skits from 6 years are spot on with the podcast/youtuber hype pattern.

Picard Season 3 followed it to a T.

JAY:

Yes, that's right.

Uh, if there's one company that I trust to put out a quality motion picture, it's Sony.

MIKE:

Sony is the best.

RICH:

You know, and let's not forget about those great swag bags they gave us full of free toys.

JAY:

Oh, yes, yes.

RICH:

You know, a funny story.

At the, the last premiere we went to, we, we were seeing the new Ghostbusters film, nd, uh, I had to take a dump in my swag bag.

Because the film was just so good that I didn't want to get out of my seat, you know, and leave the film.

And, and the Sony representative actually gave me a free replacement.

JAY:

Well, yeah.

Sony will do that in exchange for glowing, positive reviews.

They're the only company I can think of that would take the time to literally clean up your filthy shit and wipe your sweet, fat, nerd ass.

MIKE:

Sorry to interrupt.

Uh, which, which, I just want to note, these swag bags are not cheap.

JAY:

That's true.

That's true.

MIKE:

Yeah, they are filled with toys and promotional materials that sometimes can be valued at, you know, up to $20.

RICH:

Right, right.

Actually, the Sony executive who gave me the replacement swag bag, he actually shoved me up against the table and put his hand over my mouth, and he said, "You better give this movie a good review.

My career is riding on this, you fat, pudgy, fuck.

And then he, then he shoved his hand down my pants, and he put through his fingers deep deep into my grundle.

I, I think he must have mistaken me for a woman?

Probably because of my voice.

MIKE:

I would expect such a behavior from Paramount, but not, not Sony.

That was really good. Proper intriguing stuff. Really looking forward to the next episode now! I'm still not sure about Raffi, but she's not horrible anymore I don't think.

I wished they'd filmed it in 4k like Strange New Worlds, but eh, can't have everything.

Thought that was a real step down - not to depths of S1/2 of course. But unnecessarily slow and messy

Spoiler

The plan (and real plan) for Krinn was ridiculous.

I’m not sure I follow the logic of beaming a (mostly?) trust worthy Titan crew over to a suspicious vessel - and then leaving them behind so quickly when suspicions confirmed. Feels like a lot of danger for them.

Picard taking upper morale ground about betraying a senior officer in context of last few weeks actions and shuttle thefts was odd. Noted how most of his referenced actions were movie Picard not tvshow Picard.
Could Jack be a changing? Or have an organ donated by one?

Fuck yeah! Was not expecting that appearance! I'm of course referring to...

Spoiler

Brunt in the list of known associates. ;)

Fucking Ro Laren! My jaw hit the floor. That was fantastic!

My wife isn’t happy - this is on a sub subscription on Amazon now? Paramount +? That the same for everyone else?

They have only just moved it over to paramount in the last hour or two as I was able to watch ep 4 earlier on prime. But went to watch ep 5 there and it’s now saying all eps are only available on paramount
