and Roscoe lost 3 quarters of a foot!

Much like the cursed skull happened to the right character

I updated the sheet with availability :)

I'm probably out the 1st September, family birthday meal night.  And then it doesn't go this far ahead but I'm away on the 22nd September too.

its really bad

whenever anyone would say they were struggling to see something (like my grandmother had lost her glasses) my grandad would say "who said that" as if he were the one blinded or as if their blindness prevented him from seeing them.

An unusually surreal piece of humour from my grandfather then and it stuck with me, and I have no idea why.

My wife had a nasty infected eye at one stage and was in some pain and my response was not met with good humour!

EDIT - another example was if he was asked to put the kettle on he would always reply "what would you like me to put it on". I don't repeat that one for some reason :D

I like the kettle one

I do something similar is someone asks ‘can you put [Person] on the phone’ about how how I’m worried they’ll break it

Ari: She would try and buff the party and stay within 30 feet using either Aura of Vitality to heal / Crusaders Mantle for damage - This would be her main concentration spell

She has 3 Bardic inspirations left - She would inspire anyone that looks as though they needed it / cutting words

Radiant Soul in emergency - once per long rest - available (wings)

Healing Hands - once per long rest - available (Action - 8hp)

Wand of wonder (specifically targeting the beholder - 5 charges left - she would not expend ALL charges) and only if no allies were in danger range

Sessil :D She would not let Sessil die.

Spell slots left: 4 x 1st Level, 2 x 2nd level, 2 x 3rd level, 2 x 4th level

Ac is 14, and currently has 50/50 hp

Feel free to use any of her spells, please try and kill beholder with Vicious Mockery cantrip...

The main instruction is, that if things look like they are taking a turn for the shit, she would dimension door her and her sister as far away as possible.  She would try and save a 4th level spell slot to do that.

ok - regarding the snake - if you pop him out there is a good chance he will be killed outright if he attracts the ire of the beholder given his hp.

So I won't use him.

If @MDY is ok with this I might get sister input on each round decision as it might be a tricky one - I mean it might be easy if you all find a different way out of it :D

Yes, I don't mind, we'd like some input into what Ari might do per round.. Krynn would initially ask her to inspire Artus to try and shake off the beam effect (IIRC he gets a second chance to save against petrification..)

I don't know where he was in the order though.. (18 Errick/Roscoe) (17 Ariana) (15 Krynn) (13 Feneth)

If a Beholder suppresses magic, that could mean Sessil would revert to being a stick while he's in it's sight? And we'd not be able to activate him while it was looking either..

Does that also mean while it's looking at him, the magic reanimating Yaka is suppressed?

Obviously the party are not 100% aware of the abilities of a beholder all they know so far is casting spells is a bit hit and miss. they don't really know yet the anti-magic effects exactly so could not assume about sessil I don't think.

On a technical point Yaka has not deactivated when nearby characters have tried to cast spells so whatever causes him to "be" is not affected the anti-magic that is currently in effect.

Artus was/is top of the round - he got two hits in which caused the Beholder to use a legendary action to petrify him. That was the last thing we did before we finished.

oh and another point of clarification - I was incorrect my message to @MDY earlier - the beholders main eye IS looking towards the main party at entrance altho he is near ceiling of the dome looking down (50ft high room).

For my own sanity as we stopped mid encounter -

Feneth is paralyzed and can repeat the save at end of his turn

Artus is petrified and will turn to stone next turn if he does not save.

Apart from that - everything is just fine.

I don’t really trust online dice rollers to be honest.

Hopefully not needed as I enjoy playing Errick. (I appreciate a lot of that doesn’t come out explicitly).

I don’t trust ones where some are 15s apart and others nearer a minute :sherlock:
