If you want them for cheap in cartridge format (just to play) then there's a fair few China copies doing the rounds for £20 or so on eBay.

Rather have them genuine, already been N64'ing it up for Retroachievements over the past year on PC :)

Me too but when they are £60-£70 and its just for play I don't mind it.  One thing that never got a release was Indiana Jones & the Infernal Machine, meant to be an amazing game, one of the systems best but the PAL version is non existent as it didn't get a release.. so I ordered one on Friday from China  Really looking forward to getting my hands on it!

For things that didn't get an official release I'm fine with. Japan got lots of quirky stuff that N64 Magazine rated highly (including an android schoolgirl thing and a sumo wrestling game that looked hilarious), wouldn't mind translation patched carts of those some day.

So many people online rave about Pokemon Snap and I'll admit I never thought it could be really interesting being a game on such obvious rails but.... my God its amazing   Been playing it since 8AM and loving every minute!  You do next to nothing but the way it all revolves around you and the side snapping stuff is fun. Felt like it was missing something at first but then you get the apples and it becomes something else!  I'm sure I'll play Shadowman at some point but not today!

I bought a cheap scart to HDMI adaptor on eBay a few months back and forgot all about it, was only a fiver but improves the overall look pretty well! Much sharper than it was before and there's def more colour, tried taking a picture (the fuzz is from the camera not the TV):

Tried it out with Diddy in case there was any lag but seems to run okay or at least I didn't notice any during game play.

only wanna play a few import games ill keep an eye out for one thanks mate

You'd be better off buying a second hand NTSC console, and removing the tabs inside the cartridge slot, so that it'll play both US/JPN cartridges. Then just switch the console with your PAL one when you want to play an NTSC game. All the accessories are region free, and you can use a UK PSU with an NTSC console to save you from having to mess around with step down convertors.

Fresh day and fresh deliveries!  Kept hearing good things about the Top Gear games so ordered a couple as they were pretty cheap.  Mischief Makers is something I bought as a kid so was a bit strange coming back to it over 20 years later to find... it's still a pretty good game.  It needs an accuracy my controller just can't provide and scrambling around its early levels with a pad that feels off is just terrible.  Have spoke to someone at Retro Fighters and it seems they do allow international shipping but you need to place the order first and they will send an invoice for it later. So I'm going to wait til pay day and order a decent pad!

The Top Gear games look amazing but are really weird to control. Not sure if I expected it to be a bit like the kart games but its really hard to get my head round how much more accurate you need to be. I'll sink some proper time in it later but I've Pokemon to snap for now... just managed to find my way into a secret path round the volcano :sherlock:

Been really looking forward to playing this as it has Expansion Pak gubbins going on, tried it with and without there's def a difference. Great game too!

Did you notice much of a drop in frame-rate in the hi-res mode? I tried Turok 2 in the hi-res mode and it was horrendous. Bad enough in standard resolution.

Not really, seemed okay to me but from looking at info about the Pak it seems games always react differently to it.

Managed to get my hands on a copy of Super Mario 64 for £20 in an indie shop.  Bit more expensive than on ebay but was in pretty good condition so thought might as well.  Still as brilliant as it ever was and a real joy to play through again.  Don't think I ever got all the stars but now I'm determined to have proper goes on all these old games.

One of my other cartridges is a bit yellowed, anyone ever cleaned one before?

Could really do with some spine labels too but cost over £30 imported from the US biggest cost is the shipping. Has anyone ever ordered some in the UK and could recommend where to buy?

N64 is probably my favourite console ever. Always fancy digging it out and setting it up but don't know if it'll connect to modern TVs or how it'd look if it does.

Hurry up with N64 Mini, Nintendo.

I hooked up my N64 to my 50 inch 1080p plasma and it looked absolutely horrendous.

Completely unplayable.

I can't work out if it was particularly bad due to the TV, or just because I'm so used to modern graphics.

I haven't touched it since.

A lot of retro consoles are like that on huge TV's. It's why I don't bother with anything beyond my 19" set as that seems to have just the right balance.

I'm kinda tempted to sell it all.

Don't think I have any games worth much, they're pretty much all the ones everyone had.

Depends what you have. Maybe take a few pictures and stick up a thread asking for advice. There's bound to be a couple that are worth a few quid or failing that someone who might want a bundle!

I'll go home and take a picture of it all.

I have the N64 itself with expansion pack, but it looks kinda ugly as I had this console sticker from N64 Magazine that I stuck on. It started peeling off, so I tried to take it all off cleanly, but just left loads of residue.
