The idea seems sound, but the implementation looks 'clunky' to be honest - 3rd person doesn't seem right for a game like this. Having said that, SC2:PT looks terrific, but that seems to flow unlike this. My concerns are also on the apparently poor accuracy of the targetting & the vehicles that look to be in for the sake of it.

Who's the developer?

Looked okay, what platform is it on?

XBox, PS2 and PC.

It looks ok. Better than BF1942, but i'm not too hopeful of the PC version being anything other than a port (Based on what I've played of Armed and Dangerous and Secret Weapons Over Normandy on PC)

It still got pretty dire scores... and their RTS "talent" can't really be a basis on what this'll be like anyway.

Pretty good, yeah... but again, that's an RTS.

You can't really use that or Army Men RTS as backing to thinking this game'll be good... probably completely different team working on it.

Probably the same team as Clone Wars! :lol:

How many good Star wars games have there been 5/50, I doubt this one is going to be anything different but the read up in Pc Gamer made it look alright, its basically an official BF1942 mod.

They're definately improving, on PC at least.

and thats just off the top of my head, the only good Star Wars games have hardly been original have they.

no. these were well above average IMO, and at worst did exactly what they set out to.

what about Super Star Wars on the SNES? (in whichever category, I'm indifferent)

and btw Dark Reign 2 is a quality product even if none of the others are.

Yes I did miss a few, that was off the top of my head, I thought I did quite well and RS 1+2 were utter tripe compaired to the X-wing games on the PC, the only thing that makes them entertaining is the fact that they are Star wars which to be honest is wearing thin at the moment.

Er, no, the pod-racing game, based on the bit in the fim. An OK film, pretty much outclassed by F-Zero X though, which came out at a similar time.

I think you're thinking of Super Bombad racing. Which I'm led to believe is indeed shit.
