My favourite fish so far has been the anchovy as they look lovely in the museum/aquarium...

I've had a couple of golden trout now. They sell for a LOT of bells.

That's where they are in a swirling mass in the tank yes? If so very pretty.

Goddam stringfish. Think I've used 100 bate now and not had one.

Though have got a golden trout and bluegill for my efforts.

I got mine in the river below the top waterfall, dunno if that helps any.

Yeah I've been mainly there and the top pond as well.

I'll try again later. Then it's time for more fish bait making.

Is there any special condition you need to fulfill to grow bamboo or is it just like growing trees?

Also does anyone have blue flower seeds for sale in their Nook's Cranny?

@Stejay do you want a mask?

Yes please if you’re able to get one. I’ll send you a friends request.

I won’t be insulted if you don’t wear that outfit. It is nasty. Just thought it might go with your crack den quite well though.

I'll use it for some shots down the line for sure :)

Will send mask when island is cleared out.

A little tip for people, but it may of course be quite obvious too.  I ordered a ramp to be built today which I thought would actually cut into the cliff above, but it doesn't so I have it sticking out so that you have to walk up the screen to go up and it takes up a bit of space.

It was only after going to another island I saw that someone has placed theirs left to right in line with the cliff above.  It obviously takes the same space up, but it looks less intrusive and I really wish I'd realised this was possible.  I'm dreading how many bells it is going to take to correct.  I'm already deeply unhappy with the placement of most of my buildings.

That'd be wicked. I know you can transplant flowers but can you get seeds from grown ones somehow?

Probably not what you want to hear, but my total was 246 bait spent to catch one. :hmm:

I think I'm happy to wait six months to fill out any missing critters from this point on!

I’ve been searching for a string fish for days, making countless bait and has almost given up before finding it at a friends island. Only to realise I’ve already caught and donated it in the first day  A quick look through my museum and I’ve already caught a Coelacanth! Again donated on the first day, without realising it. Those two days of pre museum fishing really worked out.

I did that with the sturgeon.  Is there a checklist anywhere online yet?

I'm quite tempted to get the official guide next month if it has them.

Just look in your critterpedia. Helpfully there's an owl icon when you cursor over the entry if you've already donated it.

I actually sold two sturgeon on the first or second day, not realising it was rare, valuable, or even possible to donate since I'm the secondary player in my game and I wasn't even aware of what the museum is or does. Getting one was even a nook miles mission, ffs!

I know yeah, cheers.  I would just find an actual checklist better.

I've just tried to send them over to you. Add flowers to the non-tradeable list.

Wow, I think this must be the first time I've played between 6pm and 7pm. The sunset is gorgeous! My favourite hourly song so far too.

I caught mine in the river of the first platform area, apparently the top pond on the 2nd platform area doesn’t count
