For those with no rewards tab on the Xbox app, strangely enough this got it to appear for me. Turn off your WiFi and use mobile data, close the app and load it up again. For some reason it only appears when not connected to WiFi when I load the app

Even then though I'm only getting the play a game (jewel) play a pc game play with friends on PC and use the Xbox app challenges, not the Fortnite one. And my use Xbox app is 5pts not 25

If you haven’t played Beacon Pines the punchcard is the perfect opportunity- it’s a charming little visual novel with superb narration and characters.

Also it gives you an achievement in the first five minutes.

I'll try this one instead.

What does it mean when the site tells you to lock in level 2?

You get level 2 status after earning 500 points in a month. Gives you a discount on redemptions and possibly more points for activities.

You lose it if you don’t earn 500 points in a month, hence the need to lock it in each month!

Now that you can convert points to Amazon vouchers, I just realised I will have enough to buy GOW Ragnarok by the time it’s released.😂

Fairly sure MS did not have that in mind.🤫

Using Microsoft points to buy PlayStation games?

That may just break the Internet if it is widely known.

Is there an upper limit to how many amazon gift cards you can get?   I have 80,000 points but it's only let me select a 10 quid card.

I only started actively doing the rewards last week, it's surprising how fast they grow and how quickly you complete the daily tasks once you become accustomed to it.

My gamepass is paid until April 2025 but it seems you could earn enough points each month to pay for the subscription?

Also, do the new weekly gamepass quests land this evening?

Your post reminded me to check this. Now, I'm not the best at keeping up with everything you need to do but I usually do manage the Daily Sets on the Rewards webpage and try to get the stuff that's on the console when I remember. As an active member it's best to get 3 months XBLG for 15k points which converts to 50 days of Ultimate.

I last done this 191 days ago and I currently have 62,541 points. So that will get me x4 of 3 months XBLG = 200 days of Ultimate, so yes :)

Probably a silly question but when you use points for MS credit you can then top up purchases with cash, yes? Was saving for a Series S but it probably won't be much of an upgrade (aside from loading times) from my One X so might just keep on until I can get a Series X for £150 or so. Got over 300,000 points saved up already so quite a chunk towards it.

You absolutely can. Basically you need to be building up about 300 points per day on average. Takes a bit of coordination across multiple apps on several devices but is not otherwise difficult.

This is where the 300 points per day figure comes from. 15,000 points every 50 days.

In practice it almost always actually gives more than 50 days. I made a spreadsheet to count mine.

Most commonly it converts to 53 days in my experience (19 times). Next most common for me is 52 (4 times). Once it applied 54 days, and once it was 49 (the only time for me it's been under 50 days, from 25 redemptions so far).

There's never any specific explanation of this, it just says something like "Xbox Live Gold credit will be converted to Game Pass Ultimate at a reduced rate". I think it did use to say 90 days becomes 50 days somewhere, but as above, I've never actually had exactly 50 days out of it. I think it basically just works on heavily-rounded-up fractions of a year. I wouldn't swear to it but I suspect it assumes every month has 31 days, so the 'year' is 372 days and everything divides down from there.

Edited to add: Caveats are that some people don't have all the options to either earn, or redeem, points. None of us has been able to figure out why. My sister, for example, has no option to redeem her points for Xbox Live Gold. She can only redeem for Game Pass Ultimate directly, at a somewhat less favourable exchange rate (from memory it's 12K for 30 days or 400 points per day - still doable but obviously a lot worse).

Yes. If you really want to make it as cheap as possible you can also buy MS credit from CDKeys and get a slight discount on the cash element.

This is exactly what i did. I ended up paying something stupid like £40 for my S. Well worth the effort. Between the S and the cheap GP, I'm getting more than my money's worth out of it.

In other news, properly noped out of two of the monthlies this month - Dead By Daylight and Prey. Far too much effort for the points.
