Sorry if this has been addressed before, but can I just continue to build points until I have tens of thousands, then spend them all on something big? Or can I buy £5 codes and save those up?

The £5 codes expire after 90 days, so only convert them if you're going to use them soon. Points only expire if you don't earn any or redeem them for 18 months so you can just keep building them up.

Yeah, if you fancy. On the flip side, I don't want anything but the conversion deal is good at the moment (4410 points for a fiver vs the more usual 5850 points). So I'll redeem my 45 quid or so in a couple of weeks just before the hot deal ends and it's pretty likely something will be on sale before it expires, plus I can add whatever I'm able to that in the next couple of months as well.

Yeah, just keep saving up. I have the $25 ish as my target, to get a 'free' Xbox pad dongle for my PC. It's an automatic grindy part of my day which doesn't take too long, particularly if you can tolerate Bing instead of Google. Which, actually, is often just fine. Use Bing instead of having regular reads as bookmarks, for example.

After that chap got busted earlier for spamming nonsense Bing searches I’ve been trying to use it moderately sensibly. The need to do loads of internet searches in a day has meant I’ve ended up researching a load of stuff I’d not been getting round to before. I also have visions of the Bing police monitoring my searches for suspicious behaviour and nodding at my interests.

You’d think with something so flaky and ultimately worthless they’d just issue the points to anyone who raises a support ticket rather than pissing people off keeping them waiting and wasting their time looking into if they really did get the achievements.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Oh well, I already bought Hitman 2 Gold digitally thanks to a tip from Hitcher, and I can probably grind my way the £5 MS voucher that’s on offer by midday tomorrow, so the urgency has gone. I won’t be doing any more of this crap in future though.

It seems a bit disjointed behind the scenes. Recall I bought FH4 ultimate, not standard, and they didn't credit me with the punch card for buying FH4. Because I'd bought the wrong version.

They've updated the dashboard with badges and the ability to send/ask for points from family members. So, they're putting effort into it, but the back end and support feels like it needs a lot of refining.
