Star Wars: Andor

Got to the Lucasfilm logo and switched off. I'd like to go in completely blind to this. Wasn't all that gone on him in Rogue One, but it's a great period to dig in to so really looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

Can't wait for this.

Some other the spin offs were completely unnecessary. Solo is the best example of where the character felt fully fleshed out and we didn't need his origin, especially as it tried to explain pretty much every single line he said in the original trilogy.

In this case, I'd actually like to know more about Andor and the struggles of the rebellion. I hope we get some K2SO action.

Honestly, I thought that looked like absolute fucking bollocks, but then again I lost all my faith with Star Wars a long old time ago, so what do I know.

I still like Rebels though. That's good Star Wars.

If all SW was animation, I'd be a much happier person.

Sorry to let the side down.

Rogue One had a lot of things going for it. I'm not sure the characters were one of them though? Like, they were all just fine. I would like any Star Wars to be good Star Wars but I also couldn't give a fuck where Cassian Andor came from and the trailer basically barely having him in it seems to suggest Disney feel the same. I am bang up for being proven wrong though! Prove me wrong!

The speculation is that he was from a separatist planet, so quite a different trajectory to a lot of other SW characters we know. That alone I find pretty intriguing

This is going to be the birth of the rebellion: the series. In retrospect not including that deleted scene in ROTS (with Padme, Bail, Mon and others forming the embryonic rebel alliance) was a blessing because now they can do it properly.

Something about the early Empire still using clones and Republic ships, and the senate still being there is really intriguing to me. Filoni isn’t going to rest until he’s redeemed every single scene of the prequels.

Also, a prediction: just and Mando and BOBF are basically one series with two titles, I think this is going to cross over with or follow directly on from the Obi Wan series. We’re going to be seeing a few people in both, including Hayden’s Vader, I’m sure.

With this being around the same time do you think we get a cameo in this or the next season from all or some of the crew of the “ghost”?  Since general Syndulla was name dropped in rouge one

Possibly, but I think this is set a few years earlier than Rebels.

This is set 5 years before rogue one if I read it right with season 2 then covering the 4 years between season 1 and the start of rogue one - so hopefully there is a chance 🙂

I would imagine there is. Season 1 of Rebels was set 5 years before ANH and so is this, we may even see Ahsoka in her Fulcrum guise.

Fiona Shaw is awesome in Killing Eve!  I thought that reveal was great (I didn't know she was in it until I saw this trailer).

Looking forward to this - I'm very much in the mindset of the more Star Wars we get, the better.  There was pretty much fuck all for 15+ years when I was a kid, so content dumps of the quantity of the MCU is most welcome.  I read as much of the new canon stuff as I can, as long as the stories of the TV shows pass muster (and I might be in a minority here but I've enjoyed both seasons of The Mandalorian AND TBOBF) then I'll be pleased.

So - more please.

I think I'm probably Disney's ideal customer

Who signed off on making a series about The Most Boring Man in Star Wars (tm)?

Going from the trailer it just feels like they’re using his character to focus a show on this particular time frame, rather than the man himself. Which is a bit weird considering the title, but come to think of it these shows all have character names.

Looks like a series about the most boring character from a film with no likeable or interesting characters. There’s so much Star Wars stuff coming to Disney+ and this looks like easily the worst. Just Star Wars places and shots of a character who is  absolutely devoid of personality.
