I seem to remember you could get plushies of the little Yoda about three weeks after it started couldn’t you?

No, you couldn’t. Disney were caught on the back foot by it’s popularity and the only thing they managed to get out for Xmas was a run of shitty t-shirts.

I thought it was because they didn't want the 'Baby Yoda' reveal in episode one spoiled by merch.

What are the chances of them getting a Lego Fondor Haulcraft out in the next few weeks? My Christmas list is primed.

It says here the merch line was launched a month before the show aired, so they must have had some clue as to what they were doing:

If I'm being really fucking picky...

Andor: "Stay low until you get to the ocean, then climb"

Pilot: *flies straight up through the clouds*

Me: What did Cass just fucking tell you?!?

I did wonder that myself!

As someone who, in my sad and lonely middle age, has sought to replenish the tat of my youth, I can safely say that the poster up there is wrong. The Mandalorian had tat to go from the off. I bought his Black series figure in the first week or so of the show airing.

As an aside, I'd swerved watching Andor. Mainly due to being so pathetically weak in not buying figures from the SW stuff I like. Suppose I'm now going to have to clear room.

Man, I'm so pathetic, you should see the look from ladies after they wake up to that. I never see them again*. True.

*I love being single really.

It took me a while to work out who has pride of place in the centre of the top shelf. Is it Cal Kestis?

Also, owning 'Timothy Olyphant in ill-fitting Boba Fett armour' shows real dedication.

Yeah, the kid out of Jedi Fallen Order. I liked the game, not enough to go the whole hog on the other figures, mind.

I need to rein it in, Andor isn't helping.

Oh, one obvious missed opportunity from the finale:

Surely the time grappler should've used one of his hammers to uppercut the stormtrooper off the tower. WTF?

Spoiler

I also expected that, but got a proper lol out of the fact that by the time stormie had climbed all those bloody steps he was visibly too knackered to be any threat whatsoever.

Honestly that's the best Star Wars has ever been.

While my love of the original trilogy and TESB in particular means this is never going to be my absolute favourite Star Wars, I have to agree.

Objectively speaking there has never been a better Star Wars film/tv show.

@Waggo Star wars was my first cinema experience. I was 3.  You done boy. You now love Star Wars.

TESB is and always will be No2 in my top films of all time.

This series is on par with those films. It repeats the message but makes it oh so more relevant.

What I can't understand is why Disney didn't go "wait is this saying we are also the bad guys"

Vague Philip Glass vibes from the funeral dirge. Great. Also, space flutes are rad.

What remarkable telly. I was not sold on ‘serious’ SW at all. Loved Force Awakens, Last Jedi, Mando, and the flashback bits of Boba.

But blimey, I don’t think any of us expected this show to be this good.

Pretty good last episode. The series didn't grab me at first, but is now up there with Rogue One and Mandalorian as reviltalising my love of Star Wars. I'm sorry to see it go, its the one show for the last few months I can rely on to deliver every episode.

Spoiler

Quite surprised noone significant died this episode. I was expecting a complete bloodbath in one way or another. Either all or some of Cassian's friends dying, or maybe even someone big like Luthen or ISB lady. When Cassian was waving his mates goodbye at the ship I was convinced it was going to blow up or something.

Quite curious where they take it from here. I'd have thought they've done too much setup on Cassian's planet to move the story completely away from the characters from there, but seeing as Cassian was literally willing to die at the end maybe that chapter's over. It's a shame they only have one more season to wrap things up (unless they change their mind and extend it). I guess now Cassian's in the fold he'll be working with the girls again doing missions, we'll have ISB and dweebo boy in pursuit and see Mon Mothma's fall from grace (or whatever kicks that off). As long as the quality continues I don't really care what they do!

End credits finally gave us our answer, that was fun.

Also those black armour stormtroopers look awesome, are they the same ones that are at the start of Rogue One?

So this is good then?

I haven't even gave it a look in due to the sheer amount of shite star wars related film and TV. (Mandalorian excluded).

It's exceptionally good. It's the first time any of this stuff has actually explored what living under the space fash would be like.

Although (last episode)

Spoiler

I thought that post-credits scene was a bit disappointing. Those nameless bits of metal they were constructing in the prison worked much better for me as just some nondescript cog in the massive machinery of the galaxy. Wondering whether or not they were important or utterly pointless would've been another really shit aspect of being a prisoner there.

Another case of making the universe feel that little bit smaller, which everyone making Star Wars stuff seems to do.

(although for the rest of the series they've managed to avoid doing that and made it feel dizzyingly enormous at times)
