I know we shouldn't post comments in this thread but I have to admit that as usual, I barely listened to anything newly released this year: that list is pretty much all of the albums I heard in full, most of which I only listened to in the last couple of weeks. My knowledge of jazz is negligible, so thanks to Edgar Wright's top 50 tracks of 2018 Spotify playlist for including a track from that Sons of Kemet album that I really enjoyed!

01 - Homeboy Sandman & Edan - Humble Pi

03 - Czarface & MF Doom - Czarface Meets Metal Face

04 - Eminem - Kamikaze

05 - Prince - Piano And A Microphone

I’ve been getting worse at hunting out new music as I’ve got older and 2018 was a particularly lazy year from me. I did fall down the Edan rabbit hole a bit and came to the conclusion that rapping will scratching and producing Edan is best Edan. His collab with Sandman was just stupidly fresh enough to nudge out Masta Ace who I’ve been a fan off since Take A Look Around way back in the day. I got me a Spotify account for 2019 so will explore more genres (or just listen to even more Hip Hop).
