But less violent of course. Not that I dislike the violence, but it's unreastic to expect this in the MCU.

Or is it the arm tattoos that people are worried about?

 

However, if the parts you are collecting for the build a figure are the spoiler it's a funny film to be introducing the character in as opposed to something like Spider-Man.

 

Fingers crossed well get a trailer soon enough.

The build a figure doesn't have anything to do with the movie, for example Kree Sentry wasn't in the Captain Marvel . Titus wasn't in GOTG Marvel Legends.

 

Tattoos are meant to be bracelets, instead of the more iconic you know what.

Lol, that's fucking funny i thought they were a poor man's  "Complete" tattoo from GI Joe.

 

I assume that Fu-Manchu is too racist to be Shang-Chi's dad in the movie then?

 

Can't Disney just have added one of their warnings like they have done to most of the back catalogue on Disney+.

Fu Manchu is pretty much a English made version of "black pete", created by a Caucasian novelist out of pure imagination during the "Yellow peril" era. （According to wikipedia）. It might be part of western world pop culture but Chinese people will feel offended for sure and you can't offend the CCP.

I won't Google Black Pete cause I can imagine how bad that will be. 

 

I always incorrectly assumed Fu was just his name and the likeness was just very old fashioned. 

 

Thank God they've not gone with some of the original looks for The Mandarin..

 

Although last time I saw him in a comic book he looked like a Final Fantasy cosplayer.

 

Was really hoping to see some of The Immortal Weapons especially Fat Cobra.

As someone who really likes martial art films, that trailer really didn't do much for me. Why yes Marvel, I also saw the skyscraper fight in Skyfall.

 

Is there a rule that all MCU costumes have to be made of that super-textured rubbery looking tacticool material (not sure of the proper name) as I think his costume would look a lot better if they'd just used more normal cloth instead.

I have absolutely no idea who Shang Chi is or how he's involved in the Marvel Universe (I assume he punches things to win the day?) but I thought it looked pretty alright! It'll be a massive CGI fest, and I'm not sure how well that works for a Kung Fu movie, but it seemed to be doing some cool stuff visually and basically looked like Doctor Strange x Black Panther, which sounds alright.

It's a brilliant show, but it wasn't cancelled. The main writers pulled out and the cast made the decision not to continue without them. A real shame.

I’m looking forward to this on the basis that Marvel are fairly reliable on making films that may not always be shit hot are not usually entirely trash. Loving that there is more and more of this kind of thing out there now. 
 

just seen that KimsConvenience is on NF so will be checking that out and just bought Warrior S02.

I like that the fight scenes are seemingly shot in a manner that makes them easy to follow. Choreography by Brad Allan, who worked with Jackie Chan and choreographed Scott Pilgrim, The World's End, Kick-Ass and Kingsman.
