Maybe 32X wasn't worth their time, but it's a shame as there are a handful of excellent games for it. A selection of those on a mini would allow them to be appreciated by a wider audience.

I’d have to go and have another look, but I’m pretty sure that 32X was lumped in with Saturn and Dreamcast as an SoC issue. M2 have high standards for emulation, so maybe the standard of emulation from third-party emulators on the OG Mini wasn’t to their liking?

I don't wanna miss the pre-orders on this one, they sold out pretty fast last time and the asking price for the original now will be like a beacon for scalpers I bet.

Managed to get (and love) the first one, but likewise, I'm relying on this thread for when they go live.

It was pretty easy to get a hold of in the EU after it launched. Even dropped in price at some point actually.

Hoping a European version gets announced. It would be more convenient than importing one. If importing has to happen, I'd rather get the Japanese version because you obviously wouldn't want a big ugly "GENESIS" logo spoiling the look of it.

Cool cos apparently US stock is going to be extremely limited.

Make that extremely, extremely limited -

"The number of units for this project makes up around one-tenth of the total for the previous Genesis Mini," the letter states.

Pre-orders are up right now for the Genesis Mini 2 exclusively through Amazon.com but will only ship to US addresses -

i don't understand how sonic 3d blast made it in but sonic and knuckles didn't, i know they just released origins but still...

i'll still get this cos i'm a sucker for nostalgia and i'm assuming this is going to be rarer than hen's teeth but...yeah.

It don't really matter as it'll get hacked in no time, especially if its using the same chipset as the original.

The main bonus for me will be the ability to add more CD games using the proper front end and save states without having to fudge about with retroarch, and the bonus stuff like the new Space Harrier II and Fantasy Zone ports

It definetely needs to have a better CRT filter than the first MD mini though because that was rubbish on the og. Too dark and too soft.
