Nice one, @davejm.

I cancelled my registration for the race on the 26th, because it's the night before our wedding (opening dance one-last-rehearsal night). :D

I should be on track for season VI though!

Nice one Meers!

Is anyone else trying a new car for next season?

I want to but I dont want to be another McLaren, which we will also drive next enduro season. I might go with the Porsche as I like how it drives, though this season has so many tracks where its going to be very tricky and I know I'll be slow. Still undecided, and might stay with the Bentley.

Dancing is hard, man! 😓

Yeah I'm going with the AMR for season 6. Still have to test drive it though.

Probably. I've used the McLaren, Porsche and Aston in previous seasons. Might try the Ferrari as everyone seems to be moving away from it now. Or maybe the 911 again.

Or maybe something else :)

Going to give the Ferrari a first test drive this evening on the practice server as I'm signed up to the Suzuka race in it.

I've no clue what car to choose for next season, I think I will go for something mid/rear engine.

I had the NSX Evo for the last two seasons, are you people blind or what 🧐

(Was I that far off the pace?)

I plan to change for change's sake, but having done some practice in the Macca I do miss the Honda already. The McLaren feels significantly safer to drive straight away but the Honda felt like it fit my technique well most of the time.

This appeared on the AC Facebook page.  I wonder if there's more content planned for ACC?  I hope so!

Maybe it's AC2 news (and a side order of AC mobile)?

A nice dose of Nordschleife or the Le Mans Circuit would be the dream but very unlikely given license restrictions. I know Circuit Magny-Cours was supposed to be added in a DLC at some point as well but COVID-19 didn't allow for the laser scanning anymore.

My gut feeling does sense a big dose of AC mobile though, which does not excite me one bit...

It *could* be a new licensing deal with the SRO GT3 America series.  That would add a whole heap of new tracks:

Sonoma, Circuit of Americas, Virginia, Road America, Watkins Glen, Sebring and Indianapolis.

In looking at their series I spotted Brendan Iribe (one of the co-founders of Oculus) is driving a Mclaren 720S GT3

Oh that would be a nice selection of new tracks to add, I always liked Circuit of Americas in project cars 2.

Had my first experience around Suzuka and the Ferrari 488 Evo yesterday, it's a tricky car to drive, I spun a lot and it didn't like the curbs that much. When I finally hooked up a lap it felt great though, I guess I'll just need to adjust to the different style of car compared to the Aston.

Suzuka is a really fun track as well, really nice flow the whole way around expect for spoon, I have absolutely no idea what I'm supposed to doing in that corner.

I want Road Atlanta in ACC! *pipe dream*

I'd settle for Sebring though. Actually, all of them are great!

I have to pull out tonight. Got a project finishing this week and trying to finish this week for a break, meaning I will be working late tonight. Apologies.

There's nothing scheduled for this week.  The Suzuka pre-season race is next week.

Nice time in the Ferrari @SharkyOB.  How are you finding it?  It's super slippy around Suzuka compared to some other tracks.

I'm enjoying getting to grips with the McLaren.

Cheers mate! Really enjoying it and I'm a fast as I was in the GTR which is encouraging, defo more time to find too.

I think I'm getting a bit better at interpreting what the FFB is telling me about what the car is doing. I had pretty obvious understeer through some of the mid to high speed corners, a little bit of downforce adjustment sorted it out a treat!

Awesome.  I struggled in the Macca to start with as I was a couple of seconds a lap slower; but I've closed the gap now that I'm pushing the limits of the car.  There's a 'vague' feeling to the force feedback though, so if the aero balance gets out of whack it doesn't communicate it through the wheel too much.  The Ferrari had a lot more feeling in that sense.  The FFB is lighter too, and I'm already at 100% in driver and in-game so now I need my CSL-DD :D

I realise how stupid that comment is actually, about pushing the limits of the car as I'm not really doing that am I.  I'm 4 seconds off alien pace.  Pushing the car more, I should have said.  I'm just getting quicker with it as I work it all out 😀

This looks very interesting!  Adds "seat of the pants" effect from iRFFB (the iRacing app) that simulates yaw effect through wheel feedback, that both iRacing and ACC are known for not including.
