Didn't one of the Norwegian guys make it?

Looks like it was @daifuco.  I've got the source code here, but I'm not actually sure how I would upload this as an actual extension to use anyway.

Ah isn't he from Spain or Portugal? I've no clue how to do something like that either. Hopefully he's still lurking here and willing to update it...

It seems easy to get it updated (the names are all listed in a JSON file), just not sure how to package it up into a published extension that I can host.

I'll do some reading up on that.

Chrome extension to show real names in the forum is here:-

https://rllmuk-racing.com/tools

It's a bit quirky, in that if you flip to a new page in a thread you have to do a browser refresh for it to load.  But it's handy enough so that if you do want to double check the names you can do so with that manual refresh if needed.

I am very impressed! :hat:

Haha you may visit but it's not much cop if you're used to London, very rural. I live about 15 minutes further to the east in Winschoten. Willem Albert Scholten is a legend though, the company's name is Royal Avebe now and it's one of the - if not the - biggest potato starch producers in the world. I'll have you know.

I heard a rumour Big Willy was looking to sponsor an amateur , strangely polite racing league, with an odd trophy.

I’m right in the middle of my “fuck this track” phase that I have to go through almost every time, so I’m getting grumpy! Lap after lap of not improving in any noticeable way, grrr.

Monday things. Apparently!

Crikey just noticed @mexos had some Weetabix for supper last night! Was that with much fuel on? A whole second gained and fastest time so far.

It was low fuel, not sure how much, must have been at least 12-15 when I left the pits. I’ve just put laps in, literally everything is different to what I know in GT so I thought I’d try and get used to it. Had a lazy weekend and drove for a lot of it! A lot of that was also getting my camera view set up. In GT I use bonnet or their track only view. It took a while but I’ve found a bonnet view I can use. I like in-car but really I need VR for that and the quest 2 I found disappointing.

ACC suits my style of having not a lot of wheel travel (almost like a formula car) to turn the car so that’s been nice. Braking, turn in, throttle application are all different. How the car loses traction and washes wide. Understanding how and where you can use kerbs. Etc etc etc.

1.8.21
- Fixed an error with DLC dependencies in Championship modes.
- Performance updates for:
Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R
Mclaren 720S GT3
Honda NSX GT3 EVO
Porsche 991.2 GT3 R

I wonder if those performance updates are upwards or downwards. A fair few of you in the Macca, and that's my Pork.

Macca minor power nerf on all tracks except Donington and Snetterton but only at 7500+ RPM. So likely no effect to anyone who isnt pro

Rig arrived yesterday and monitor stand today spent two days building, tweaking, tweaking and building and recabling my whole hobby room to accommodate both a rig and a studio desk.

but now it’s up! No more desk mounts, no more stops behind gaming chair that comes loose mid race. No more having to move the wheel and pedals when I want to fire up the studio and do music. Love it.

But, since everything is a bit differently placed now compared to when sat in a chair, I need to learn how to drive again, as everything now feels and looks a bit different. Cool thing is that I seem to feel more what the car is doing now that the wheel base is moounted directly to a firm rig, i feel it starts to slide so with time I’ll be able to do better saves when things starts to go sideways. A lot of tweaking still needed to find perfect pedal and seat position but that’s just part of the fun.

Issue now is whether I’ll have the strength to do as many laps I need to get up to speed with the rig and whether or not I’ll be able to race for full 60 minutes, as I still haven’t recovered fully after last weeks ordeal. Felt it when I spoke to Sharky ( think it was) the other day. Totally shattered just after speaking for ten minutes. Generally getting exhausted extremely quickly now and it’s an exhaustion I’ve never felt before so a bit worried. Will do as much driving as I can until Thursday and see how it feels :)

@Kristian Svenning even turning up and getting a couple of laps in might be enough for a point - I managed to get one last week after losing connection 6 laps in! And honestly, the more practice I do for this race, the more it feels likely I'll ragequit at some stage 🤬

Great news on the rig but don't push yourself too hard on the comeback, you'll slow down the recovery.

@Kristian Svenning Take it easy, we are not going anywhere. As said above, don't hamper the recovery.

In other news,  I'm lapping nearly 2 seconds slower than a guy who had a near death experience last week !!

But the big plus for now being "hatted" (tm) is that I leave the track a lot less, and seem to be a lot smoother.

Extension installed and working.

Thanks man, I do make sure I take it easey so no worries there :) Been tweaking the rig and FOV further today and am in the process of getting used to the new position and wheel/pedal input. Currently lapping 2-6 seconds slower than my best and keep missing turns/over turning and spinning but I guess it's a matter of time before I get used to it. Massive difference in feel with a rig so super happy about that.

Patience mode engaged

I'm not quick, but got a little bit quicker than you two I think. However, I can NOT stop crashing and burning in inventive and frustrating ways. Maybe I can blame the Porsche? But to be honest I think it's just me.

Yeah @Kristian Svenning, recover properly first, mate.

I'm so bloody slow around here. One of my fave tracks but man I just can't find the pace.

Same here despite it being one of my most driven tracks and I dont even wreck or touch walls anymore. I think I may use a too safe setup.
