Chaps. Hi. 

 

Just back from holiday , and the house is still being renovated and currently we have one bedroom and one other bedroom to sort of live in. That was where the rig was going but no dice apparently. Lack of space means I'm out this week. In the good news column I did eat a delivered pizza last night while sitting on a telephone table and the missus on what small space was left on the sofa bed. The "table" for the pizza box was a shrink wrapped ottoman. 

 

West Ham tonight so get to upgrade to a shopping center food court !

I was just creating the entry list for the first league race.  But never mind, I'm being a donut.  You did use the Evo version for practice; it's just not reported by the practice server as the Evo version for some reason (it says '2020' instead).  I've updated the event.

After spending more than 25 years trying to 'master' the English language (especially trying to figure out all the slang), I had never heard of 'bods' so I had to look it up. 😅

 

Goes to show that you never master a foreign language. Maybe I should move there...😆

Thanks Dave, defo wanted to use the Ferrari. I'm struggling to get home though after recording in Manchester all day! Is it a warm up race tonight?

A smaller than usual grid for our warm-up GT3 event @ Suzuka this evening...

 

I didn't have the pace to challenge the top of the leaderboard in qualifying, but my in race pace was decent.

 

It was enough to get me a solid 3rd place in Race 1, and I was challenging for the lead in Race 2 until an accident with @SharkyOB on lap 3 sent me to the shadow realm :lol:

Fingers crossed for more news today.  They'll probably be mentioning the mobile game, but they do have James Baldwin answering questions so I'm sure there is some sort of ACC DLC reveal of some sort.

So sorry about that mate, I was really enjoying the battle with you and @SneakyNinja, with@EuroVapeSim2 and @davejm just behind.  As we were on the run down to 130R with you and Sneaky side-by-side, I was sure that was where the issue might be, but I didn't take into account the fact you'd slowed to concede the corner.  That put me way too close to you and I had no time to react when you lifted.  Really not the best from me, although I was worried that slowing might've caused a concertina with the cars behind.  

 

I actually don't think I should've raced last night, getting back from Manchester was a bit stressful and it wasn't the best preparation.  Race 1 was a nightmare of overheating rear tyres and massive oversteer.  Race 2 was going really well until the incident, but I just couldn't motivate myself to continue after causing that :(

No worries.  :hug:

 

My tyres were right in the window, I had decent pace and got the run out of Spoon to get alongside @SneakyNinja  But I was surprising myself I was challenging for the lead, and I wasn't confident enough to go two wide into 130R - Sneaky showed no sign of letting me have that inside line to get ahead so I figured I'd lift early to drop in behind him and avoid a massive crash as we both turned left.  Perversely that move seems to have then caused a massive crash :lol:,    On reviewing the replay I can see that I *did* tap the brake once I'd dropped in behind Sneaky, I think I was in danger of tapping his rear bumper.   I dont normally brake for 130R.   And obviously you were so close that you had no time to react to that and we came together.  

 

No points at stake, so nothing lost...

I suspect I compounded the issue with you guys @SharkyOB and @Valver. I have to slow a bit for 130R otherwise the back breaks lose and I end up doing a Fast n Furious drift round it, slowing down even more.

 

And to make things worse, I thought Valver might still be along side me as we turned in, so was even more cautious than usual.
