Hoping to be on tonight, although I've no idea when, might squeak in an early session while my lad's at Cubs. Or a late one after he's gone to sleep.

When I copped covid early on, I was fatigued for weeks, it was horrid. Seems the vaccines have at least helped a lot for most people in terms of how long that goes on for.

Back in the saddle, and it felt amazing.  The Macca felt wonderful around Kyalami, and managed to (just!) get into the 1:42s.  Still a second to find as I'm half a second down on Paul's first sector plus I lost 4 tenths in the last two corners.  Great to be back.

Tried the Ferrari just now.  I love the car, but I'm way more 'on the edge' and inconsistent with it.  I've been tempted to change back, but I need to trust my original reason for changing as the Macca feels safer whilst at a similar pace.

Good to see @Erik on track.  Can you join us this season mate?

In 1.8 the Boat has become mega understeery yet has trouble putting power down and snap it oversteers in exits. I want to get into 41s race pace but that might be impossible for me. High speed understeer needs to be reduced without ruining it elsewhere. @davejm maybe some races, I didnt look at the schedule yet but there are some conflicts on thursdays. Besides I think I already drive too much. 😉

I'm sure I did some laps last night along side Winky..? Maybe I've become too Sneaky :)

Ah yes, looks like the BMW M4 isn't classed as a GT3 car in the app I'm using so I removed the filter and you show now...

Boooooooooo, the OP car!

Any of you Macca drivers change much of the setup? I tried a few tweaks but honestly couldn't notice any difference aside from pulling the brake bias backwards a bit to try and shorten braking zones. I probably have to get myself lapping consistently at a faster pace before it does anything useful.

I'm using the default safe setup, only changed tyre pressures and some minor stuff. So I think you guys can count yourself lucky that I have barely any time for practice this week! 😜

I do not wish upon anyone what I went through last night, I'm still feeling absolutely shite today. I don't know if I'll get any more practice in before Thursday but fingers crossed I'm better by then and I can race.

I thought my mid 1.43 would still be semi competitive but looks like people are finding lots of time, let's hope last minute practice on Thursday if it happens helps my pace.

if it's raining as seems likely (30-50% says Google) then all these times are barely relevant anyway I suppose.

Ook je booster gehad?

Ja en de sterkste reactie, de eerste en tweede was alleen hoofdpijn en deze keer is het een griep.

Ha let's hope for my sake, I just looked as well at the weather and scattered thunderstorms is the prediction. Does ACC weather do lighting and thunder, would make for some interesting driving.

I have been lucky so far - just a sore shoulder/arm for about 2 days, for all 3 shots so far.

I am envious, I thought I got away with just a headache on Sunday but no luck.

Back to ACC topic before we derail the whole thread, how have you set up your rotary encoders on the McLaren rim, I'm struggling to get mine to work properly with TC and ABS. They go up the numbers perfectly fine but when switching down it doesn't always respond, it's not something I necessarily change often while driving but would be nice to have them working .

@milko I went max wing and increased rear ride height a little.  Should make turn in a little better.  It's just something I heard 😆 but not sure what my original saved setup was based from, it's one I had saved from yonks ago.  I suspect it's from the default aggressive base.

Running TC on 1, ABS 4 and less brake bias too.

There's a preset for the GT3 wheel that I used as my template, but for both I'm using position 12 for the 0 value (because TCS/ABS 12 is barely used). Here's my bindings:

Have you got the rotary set up for CONST or PULSE in the wheel menu?

I remember that setting. I have it set to CONST so that may indeed be the issue you're having, @EuroVapeSim2.

Also, have you updated the wheel and base to the latest firmware? There may be an issue with older FWs.

So sorry guys, but it looks like I'm not going to be participating much. January's hit me hard! Too many projects on the go at once now and pretty draining at work, so I won't be able to put down the training hours to prepare properly for the races. At least for the first few weeks, I might jump in on one if able but will probably just do some casual offline or random lobby racing here and there.
