I've got a schedule drawn up for a GT4 league.  But I didn't know whether to just post it and add the events (build it and they will come type approach), or actually do a vote to see if people actually wanted GT3, GT4 or mixed.   General consensus seems to be that one class each season is preferred (as you learn the car); but that something other than GT3 would be a good idea.  Hence the idea for a GT 4 league.

 

What do you guys think?  Any objections to a shorter GT4 league running up to Christmas?

I can't make it for the finale unfortunately - which sucks, cause I love Imola :(

Gonna have to see if I can take part in more league races over the winter because I got hockey practice on Thursday nights, so it might be one-offs for me until the rink closes for the summer in April.

Yeah, GT4 sounds great!

 

I'm starting a course (building physics) in the coming months (starting Nov. 17th until Jan. 5th), every Wednesday after work hours, which means training time for me is getting scarce. 😓

On that, my thinking is that we get the new Super Trofeo 2 "soon" so we should wait for the Lambo single-make for that.

 

But we could do some other car, yeah. All Alpine! Group Ginetta! Just Jag! Or something.

Which car would you like to have in a one make series? Personally I cant stand the Super Trofeo, its tyres turn into noodles in about 5 laps, regardless of track.

Porsche Cup is another option.

 

I was looking forward to trying out all the GT4s again.  I think with the single make series there would be people in a car they don't like for multiple races, or might feel they wouldn't take part at all.  Which is the main problem I think.

Let's stick with GT4s then.

 

Maybe we can do a Tofeo-2 sesh once that new car releases...

Here is an upcoming non-RCI endurance race.

 

November 28

10 hours at Barcelona

GT3 and GT4

 

Its arranged by Yellow Flag, which is mostly German. There is live stewarding, no aliens(fastest handful of drivers are approx my pace) and I'd say their races have been cleaner than RCI's. There are currently 16 entries but these have typically had over 30 teams.

I want to take part and drive some new, fun car. I might even do it solo if I cant get anyone to drive with me. Rllmuk drivers can join me(/us) or you guys could sign up a team or two of your own. 😉

I'd be interested, but Sundays are not good for me I think, due to family stuff. I'll let you know a.s.a.p.

 

And how do they prevent aliens from joining? Is there a laptime lower limit?

They dont, but these events have tended to not have too many of them. Out of the currently signed up people fastest ones are about my pace.
