Sorry @EuroVapeSim2 for smashing into you; I was so concentrated on getting the car going and was in such a flap from my spin,

Honestly no hard feelings at all, I came over the top of T1 and there was still space on the inside so I committed and in those conditions I couldn't do much as I saw you moving forward, nothing you could do at that moment either.

I realised after quiting I should've stayed and finished for the points even if I was a couple laps down, oh well though. You win some, you loose some.

Absolutely no need to apologise to me, I actually hit you in T4, my car was heavily damaged from hitting @davejm in T1. I just wasn't able to turn left at all and just went straight into your side. I jumped back to the pits after and controls were locked for 4 minutes and I decided to call it quits there.

Very kind comment, thanks. But I really shouldn’t have rolled in front of you. This was one of the toughest races I’ve had. Almost as bad as the midnight at monza race in the Power Q league but this felt worse because I thought I’d be able to do better. Extremely slippery track…!

having said that I absolutely love driving without any info on the HUD than the standings graphics with the deltas to the others and Crew Chief in my ear. Really improves my focus on the track and surroundings (not enough as we saw today but that will improve) instead of getting distracted by tyre info, brake application, revs and so on. Almost feels like driving the real thing!

You did enough laps to get awarded the points anyway 👍

Some very enjoyable moments among the trials of those two races. I wasn't really on it tonight, had a rough week I think took a toll (albeit nothing actually serious, no empathy needed!). Feels like too often this season I've not quite done myself justice in the race!

I will treasure going side by side with @SneakyNinja through three or four corners before I made the pass stick, that was exhilarating in those conditions. Every other overtake I won or lost all night was basically the yellow flags and the grass.

:) It's the close racing that keeps me coming back, even when I get super grumpy about my lack of pace. I was super cautious and you were bold enough to take the place - well earnt mate.

And thanks @davejm and everyone else for letting me keep 2nd place. I've never had ACC just crash to desktop like that, and it's really quite jarring in VR to have the 'world' suddenly pause on you in the braking zone!

@milko - you mentioned feeling a bit VR sick last night - I had a teeny bit of that too for the first time in over a year. I wonder if the new graphics settings have done something? It looked a bit sharper than I remember too.

I felt a bit nauseous and sweaty all day, reckon I had something else going on really but VR will never be helpful in those circumstances! Maybe like @davejm says there's something about the rainy conditions that exacerbates it - more research needed!

Ha, I figure people might as well let me by, they know I'll take myself out sooner rather than later if left alone :)

You jest, but that was basically my tactic (for everyone, not picking on you!), hence me 'miss daisy-ing' the races. It worked too - I was slow, but never lost the car :)

Just looking at that replay... yikes!  @EuroVapeSim2 I probably thought (in that split second, not that I recall it) that you'd go around the outside; but blimey that looks terrible on my part.  Just glad I held the brakes after that and didn't mess up the other guys coming through.

Yeah it was just really unlucky, coming over the top of paddock hill I only saw you last minute, if I tried to cut outside I think I probably would have hit the back of your car still.

Sorry about last night guys.  Been having a crappy time in work lately and it just felt like more work last night; I hadn't put in enough practice and just wasn't comfortable in the car.  The practice session was fine at first, but after a few laps I was struggling to work out/remember where my braking points were, which lead to quali which was a disaster until my final lap.  Felt ok at the start of race 1 but then I was struggling with braking points again and I kept spinning the car.  After the third spin/stall my enthusiasm was completely gone and I wanted to leave, so I did.

Was a shame to see you go, but I think you did the right thing. It's supposed to be fun but it's all too easy to get caught up in the competition and build frustration until it's the exact opposite of fun. I know I've certainly done that in the past.

Maybe we need some more slightly off the wall AC events to balance the pure racing :)

Yeah, a fair bit I'd say.  I just did a handful of laps earlier.  Car and conditions feel great after the previous two weeks 😁

Battling with oversteer during breaking again (like I did with the KTM), but I've been getting this with almost every car i try lately so I think this is a v1.8 thing.  Need to concentrate more on trail braking correctly since the update I think.

oh shit, a promotion! Pressure's on for the final race then.

Just banged in a 1.53.2 at Kyalami practice, 1.52 should definitely be gettable here. Also I earned my LFM licence today. Hopped on the SA95 server, did one slow lap then 7 that are comfortably inside the threshold. There was barely anyone else online so it wasn't too high pressure, thankfully.

It definitely is 😉. anyone planning to be online tonight - need to drown my sorrows after the Grand Prix today and may do some drink driving 😛

nice. I really enjoy the track but it’s just long enough that I always throw in at least one error and cough back up a quarter second somewhere versus my theoretical best, or so it feels. Probably won’t be able to get online later, sorry, maybe Monday or Tuesday night!
