Technical goings on, if anyone is curious:-

 

- When you sign in to SGP on a desktop PC it logs your IP 

- That most recent IP is stored by SGP and used when the server starts

- If your IP is on the whitelist, the server will show in ACC

Ahhh. So I gotta stop using my work laptop to check I registered. But I could still use my phone/iPad to do it? And then maybe just remember to have logged in recently enough for it not to be asking for steam codes on the day.

NEW FEATURE ROLL OUT UPDATE

 

We've listened to the feedback from the community regarding the latest update and we have decided to delay rolling these new features out on the platform. 

 

We are going to make the additional security features optional for community admins. This means that if a community wants to make sure their events go off without a hitch they can toggle the advanced security features on. This is great news for high profile events such as esports events and live streamed events. 

 

If the community chooses to run the event without the advanced features switched on SGP works exactly as it does now so you don't need to do anything as drivers or admins. 

 

We will add this additional feature to the update and roll it out after testing. So stay tuned for that. 

 

For now you can continue to use SGP as you currently are.

@davejm thank you for all the organising you have done and with the endurance race being set up. Just a thought on it when it comes to the drawing of driver pairings, on the off chance there's a pairing such as Meers and myself we should put one of the names back into the draw as we both have experience with driver swaps and some small other details which are different in Endurance racing.

8 hours (500 minutes) is about the max for a session it seems.

I have registered for the event, will probably change the car when you add some other ones in.

I've signed up for @Meers's practice tonight.  Looking forward to a relaxed evening with some random chat on Discord.

 

I'm even happy to stick to us all being in Porkers for the evening - but I'll go with the flow.

It's quite loose at zero. I only put in a couple of laps but know I need to dial in the ff and steering angles etc. 

Coach Dave Academy’s  recommended settings are:

 

In the Logitech control panel - set the steering rotation range to the full 900⁰ and also to uncheck the centering spring box

 

Then in ACC use these settings

 

Force Feedback

  • Gain: 100%
  • Minimum Force: 12%
  • Dynamic Dampening: 25%
  • Road Effects: 40%
  • Frequency: 400Hz 

Advance

  • Steer lock: 900⁰ 
  • Steer Linearity: 1.00
  • Brake Gamma: 1.00
  • Gear shift Debounce: 50ms

Was away for a bit, back at my workstation again. I've added the GT3s now.

Good idea, same for @Erik and @OJM CHICKEN (if they're up for this as well).

 

You can change cars now as I've edited the session. 🙂

That would also be great! It's a shame SGP have maxed a session to 500 minutes, even though I've ticked the 'practice session' box.

Nope - didn't reach the minimum registered entrants, so it got auto-cancelled...

 

I might hop on the Discord later and fire up AMS2 on my PC to mess about on - if anyone fancies a spin in something "interesting" then shout and I'll give my games details...

I stupidly messed up my steam installs folder when upgrading my PC and still haven't redownloaded AMS2, too big to download now. I'm going to sign up for the rookies imola LFM race at 21.16 (20.16 UK time) and maybe the one after.

 

I'll probably jump on the Discord as well for a chat

Darn. I'm still in the process of bringing the kids to bed.
