Blimey!  How long have you had them for Dave and how much were they?

I don't have them... I have my eye on them... been looking at reviews the last month or so and am very tempted.

But they would be around £750 so not sure I can pull the trigger at the mo.  I think this is taking things a little too far.

I see!  You've got T-LCMs at the moment, is that right?

Saw a really good video the other day about a mod which apparently really improves them, if you want to save some cash!

Includes links to the bits you need.  I think this would probably make the brake too heavy for my flexi wheelstand, but I know you wouldn't have any issues with your cockpit.

@Kristian Svenning, this is why I'm not sure a bigger pedal board is the answer 😅

Holy shit, is that for bass playing alone? Most bass players I know have settled for  2 or 3 pedals! 😅

Nice cable management too!

Ooh some nice Dutch engineering there. Interesting to see the brake and throttle pedals so close together.

I liked driving the KTM, oversteer-on-turn-in characteristic notwithstanding. I actually matched my practice time in quali, which is a rarity. That couldn’t last of course and I made made a rookie (!) error of not even noticing that my car was on the grid. One pit lane start later, i had a fairly uneventful race, only gaining places through the misfortunes of others. However, I found Lesmo 2 really tricky during both races. This made me really tentative on turn in, which caught @Meers out in race 2 and is probably what @Valver is referring to having to brake mid corner. I had nice tussles with the far more rapid @SharkyOB and @EuroVapeSim2 and was relatively pleased with a podium finish.

Yep, bass only!  Justin is the main user of effects in Tool, Adam (the guitarist) only really uses overdrive and delay.

And thanks 😊  It's normally neater than this, I'm in the process of re-wiring everything to accommodate my new pedal, which is the BigBlueBastard™ in the middle of the board.

Loved last night despite struggling with the car! It's defo going to take some time to get used to the new handling, feels like it's made the differences between cars more pronounced.

Nice! A lot of goodies there! I had that Boss bass chorus myself years ago, regret selling it. Fantastic chorus.

I’ve never used much effects either on bass or guitar. On bass it’s mostly some light compression and some distortion for grit. Have been eyeballing the Darkglass b7k ultra as it’s the most obnoxious and brutal distortion on bass I’ve heard (also very expressive so you can get a really gritty and yet clear crunchy rock bass tone with it). However, as I for some reason ended up doing guitar in the projects I’ve done the last few years I’ve converted to the Kemper so I can get good tone for recording at home and not having to lug amps and cabs for gigs. Also not been good at combining pedals for boards so on guitar I mostly do clean or crunch tones with delay when I need it, and maybe some chorus or phaser. Nothing dramatic so I’ve avoided beasts like that so far 😅

I have been trying my hardest to not just stare at them on their website and drool, I'm super happy with the csl elites with the LC but the temptation is really there to pick these up if I can next year.

I thought it was a wahwah pedal at first, then thought "what's a bass player doing with a wah?" and then I thought of Christopher Wolstenholme and thought "this must be a wahwah.

Is it a wahwah?

Sort of, it's a fuzz pedal with two different types of wah, a traditional one and a mid range filter.  It sounds insane when you combine the fuzz and the wah together!  Specifically it's one of these:

Ah a Cry Baby! I had not seen this version before.

Until such time as somebody knocks 1.5s off my time I am rather liking this track/car/rain combo, it's good fun. Even in the wet the car feels a lot more stable than those KTMs! Until you put a wheel on the grass, anyway.

Just did a handful of laps and damn I find brands hatch tricky in the dry, in the wet it's almost impossible to stay on track, car sounds great though.

Got back into the VR for today and have to say even though the resolution is low it is absolutely amazing to drive in the rain and actually looking down to the steering wheel to check my delta is just a real treat. There's lots of little things which makes VR brilliant, I just need to win the lottery or something to majorly upgrade my PC and get a VR headset with higher resolution.

Quest 2 is a big step up in resolution from a Vive (3664 x 1920px vs 2160 x 1200px) and will also do 120Hz if you want.  Plus its *only* £299 (+£50 off voucher right now, and if you get an existing Quest 2 user to send you a referral code you get £23 in store credit to play with too)

But getting a graphic card to drive it might be the expensive part...

Just did a few laps in the Alpine in the wet @ Brands... wow what a massive difference there is between TC4 (all good, maybe a bit too safe) and TC 3 (spin every corner)

TC4 it is then! 😆

I find 4 too sluggish and understeery so I went with 3. ABS 6. Car's nice and playful this way and you can counter the understeer a bit.

Bit of a text wall below, so apologies.

tl;dr: FSR ultra quality + FidelityFX CAS sharpness 0% + FXAA + V-synch = 1440p60 @ 16ms with super smooth & crisp graphics!

ACC had another update on Friday or Saturday (I downloaded it on Saturday anyway). Not sure what they changed this time, but I seemed to have more overhead in the framerate department (about 20fps more than before). They must have optimised something for the lower-end GPU's because when I had another fiddle with the graphics settings I had a bit of a revelation...

So I tried @milko's recommendation again last night and tried TAA gen5, but that cost me at least 15fps and made the image really smeary (lots of artefacts and ghosting). KTAA was a bit sharper but not much, ghosting and artefacts were still apparent. So I thought "fuck it, I'll try FXAA and see if I can add some ReShade filters" as I know it gives me about 12 fps on my system. Of course that made everything mega jaggy, but the ghosting and artefacts were gone and the image was sharp (textures as well, much much sharper) and I had even more overhead. But instead of activating any ReShade filters, I set FSR on ultra quality instead. That cost me about 20 frames (it really is not kind to my GPU, but I still had plenty of overhead).

But then I noticed that the FSR sharpness slider description said 'AMD Fidelity CAS' and I went "dafuk?!" because I used the ReShade one before but it would always cost me a couple of frames, so I disabled the default sharpening filter and tried this one instead...and set it to 0% instead of the default 80. The result - a super smooth and sharp image with almost no jaggies! It really looks like a whole new game, holy shit! :omg:

And I still have some frames left to sacrifice, so I fancied switching the mirrors on? Well... even the 30fps on mid quality and resolution takes about 20fps away so that's a no-go (really gutted about the mirrors using so much performance) so it looks like I'll be using the look back button for a while longer. So I set the shadows from mid to epic instead and still had about 5 frames overhead which I used for a bit more foliage detail (from very low to mid) which at least made them 3D now instead of 2D Playstation-era cardboard cut-outs without dipping below the 60fps.

So with that all done, I switched V-Synch back on (because somehow I got more screen tearing since 1.8) which locks the framerate at 60 for me, so no need to set the fps limiter on top of that anymore. So now I'm playing ACC with a locked 60fps in 1440p at 16ms of rendering latency, much better graphics (compared to what I had before) and it's smoooooooooth as fuck man! I am so happy right now. Kudos to Kunos (and AMD) for being the wizards that they are! Tried an online race with these settings and 32 cars on Imola, and the framerate doesn't dip below 59fps. RESULT! 😄
