Just did a handful of laps to try out the M2, it has some interesting brakes alright, really doesnt like to downshift until you really drop the revs. I can see it producing some really chaotic but fun racing.

I was just about to say, I can set up a race for tomorrow night and I'm up for it. The question is - what?  Things that have been mooted:

 

Imola as the track - but not in regular GT3 since we're there in early March again as part of the league.

So we could drive BMW M2s for fun, or GT4s (new BoP!). But I'm not sure @Corranga or @Marmite have those DLC, so if they want to play...

...we could make it so everyone is in the Reiter.

 

I am totally open to suggestion.

edit - wait, Corranga has the GT4 but not the BMW M2. So it's partly up to Marmite and partly up to the rest of us I suppose!

Alright, we're getting there, and I would prefer that too. Single-make M2 or the GT4s with free choice it is! @Marmite hopefully you can chime in soon in case you've a preference.

I always enjoy a single-make bash and there's very little setup to do with the M2 so I think I'd slightly prefer that one.

 

@mexos be sure to have a play with your new Porsche Cup car sometime, it's incredible. The Ferrari is also a barrel of laughs, you can get that to fishtail all the way up through the gears. Damn, now I'm wondering if we should use one of those instead of the Beemer!

Had a quick go in the M2 l, it’s pretty good fun (says the person that’s now driven a total of 2 different cars in ACC!)

 

I even managed to make it green so you all know which one to steer around 😅

Yeah I had a quick blast just now, the M2 is too slow to be a fun hotlapper but if we can get a bunched race going it'll be a hoot.

Tomorrow at 1930 UK time as usual, 30min practice, 15min quali, 2x 25min races. No pitstop requirement. Hopefully I've done it right, it's only my second attempt.

 

btw the practice server doesn't seem to be recording our times this week, or the website isn't showing them. No big deal!

I would race tonight it seems it would be fun but my pedals are still screwed up and im braking with 50% accelerator which in the m2 is a death trap, plus i'm behind on college work which i need to focus on, have fun good luck and i will catch you guys for the next one.

I now have a headset so I can get on comms. That is on discord yeah? So I open up discord then...? I know I need to map a push to talk button but I am unsure of how to set the rest of it up to join the 'party'?

If you have an invite to the rllmuk discord then it's just a matter of joining the acc voice chat. Make sure you check if your mic woks in the settings (voice & video settings).

I looked at all the controls in ACC and saw nothing, so presumably this is in... discord?  Also presumably I then don't map the button to anything in ACC (though flashing headlights when talking might have a nice distracting effect )

Do I need to do anything in ACC or Windows to instruct it to pass through the button press as presumably by default the in-focus application captures it, or does Discord automatically intercept all inputs?

Use a button that you don't have mapped in ACC (or unmap it once you've chosen the button you want to use).

 

Make sure you start discord as an administrator, that way you'll still be able to send button commands to it when it's not the in focus window.

 

I'd also say, the chat to game volume balance was horrific for me.  I had to drastically reduce the main volume in the ACC audio settings to actually hear people (I think to somewhere around 25-30%!)
