It's very comfortable and very easy to adjust if you're passing it between other people. The magnetic battery pack is also a genius touch. After looking at some reviews I've gone with the same - cheers for the heads up. Edit: This looks quite promising for something running natively.

schmojo
Among Us has amazing potential. And will be very tense. Has anyone played either Escape from Nefertiti's Tomb or Paranormal Detective: 80s Escape? Could do with a good new escape game, short as they are. Might have to check if Fireproof have a new Room in dev...

Ketchup
I want to try out airlink, but currently all i have is a Virgin Media hub, that my PC is connected to wirelessly as they are in different rooms. So whats the cheapest, easiest way to get airlink working and what will i need so everything all plays nicely still.
Harsin
You can give it a try right now to see how you get on. At first I thought it was rubbish, everything’s tittered and went pixelly all the time. Then I changed the bitrate from auto to a fixed 80 in Airlink’s options and everything was fine. I’m playing Half Life Alyx on my Quest at the moment using Airlink connected to a PC that’s connected to my router via a powerline adapter on the other side of the house and I’m amazed how well it works. You may want to invest in an some powerline adapters as well instead of a PC connected by wifi. They also recommend that you play in the same room as your wifi router if possible (which unfortunately for me means I have to play PC VR games sat on my bed instead of standing up). Probably silly question but not sure if this is bundle worth it. I was looking for a bunch of games I could run stand alone on my Quest 2 as it may get some use from visitors over Christmas. Can anyone vouch for any of these games being decent?
metallicfrodo
Ghost Giant is excellent, if a little short, but tells a really lovely, if quite sad, story. Gadgeteer is fun if you like building things, and is especially excellent if you have a large play space to walk around in. Haven’t played any of the others but I’d say 14 quid just for those two is worth it.

Zomby
Accounting+ was not what I was expecting but in a good way. It's had me laughing pretty hard, would recommend if you want to play an amusing puzzle game.

I did try it and was getting 1 frame every few seconds. I’ll try that setting but feel my current setup just isn’t useable as is. I did have powerline plugs but for some reason kept having issues with them but maybe I’ll try some new ones.
Anne Summers
So anyone actually managed to do the Flight Simulator training using the Quest 2? After finally managing to get it working using my headset (thanks to advice further up in the thread) I'm now sitting in the cockpit - at the start of the first training mission with the Cesna sitting on the runway. The instructor tells me where the yoke is (in front of me) then says, "In this training mission you'll be controlling the plane using your peripherals of choice ... so let's hide the yoke for now." I'm not sure what this means - I want to control the plane using the yoke so why do I have to hide it? The interface tells me to "point the cursor at the yoke and hide it pressing A" - so I point at it, using the Oculus hand controller cursor - the yoke highlights in blue, but pressing A doesn't do anything whatsoever. I can't progress any further than this as the game just sits there telling me to "point the cursor at the yoke and press A". Very frustrating because I can't tell if I'm being stupid and doing something wrong, or if something isn't working like it's supposed to ... I just want to take off in the plane and fly around in VR! Steven
Just set mine up and had a bash on A Fisherman's Tale. I'm really happy with the easy set up and boundary stuff but still have to work a few things out. The controllers are the game-changer for me coming off the Move controllers - so lovely to use. That said, I still think the FOV is better with PSVR and the light bleed at the base is a bit off putting if you don't have the lights off. Really happy - installing the three Vader 'experiences' and Red Matter which I bought on Black Friday. Resi 4 comes a bit later but if Fisherman's Tale is anything to go by, I think it's going to knock my socks off with these controllers.

Zomby
In reference to the light leaking issues, what headstraps are people using? I'm using the standard face covee with the glasses adaptor plus elite strap and I suffer very little issues with this. Maybe it's the glasses adaptor which helps? I'd quite like to buy a couple of new face covers so I can have one for me and a couple for guests, any third party ones worth a look?
Parappa
If anyone is getting one of these for Xmas and has friends coming over - get Richies Plank Experience for a good laugh (suitable for grannies).

I'm using the BOBO VR battery strap - the issue is the nose section in the Oculus face plate. I was being interrogated by Darth Vader only to notice a pair of my trainers on the cell floor when I looked down - that and the fact I tower above Vader in that scene kind of broke the immersion a bit. Tried turning lights off but it stops tracking and the game is suspended.
ryanm
The cameras operate on infrared light, so you can buy IR lighting that will allow tracking while not being visible to your actual eyes.

Retroguy
I haven't done any PC gaming in a while- would anyone be kind enough to tell me if my ageing gaming PC would be able to run any games connected to an Oculus Quest 2, or whether it's just not powerful enough? I recently played Half Life Alyx on something similar (gtx780ti and an overclocked i7 at 4ghz that's several gens older than your i5 ) and I really enjoyed it and found the experience very impressive. I'm sure it helps that I'm only comparing it to the psvr I've had since launch (it was more impressive than anything I've played on that). I'm sure it was awful compared to what it could be like on a newer PC. Took a bit of messing around with the graphics settings at first. I was using a quest 1 though, so less demanding in terms of fps and resolution than the Quest 2 defaults. I've tried other older and less demanding pc vr games too and they run fine. The oculus app insists on displaying a warning that my PC can't handle vr every time I open it.

Brilliant, thanks for that, it’s really useful 😀 Half Life Alyx was one I was particularly looking at, so that’s great to know. The Steam VR app says that I should be ok too, so definitely worth getting a cable and plunging in!
