When he holds his weapon up and drops lightning on you? Roll as he drops his arm. When he makes lightning strike all over? Roll just before it strikes. Swinging his weapon at you? Move!

Yeah, you can finish the whole thing without taking a hit if you just simply avoid every attack with perfect timing for the entirety of the game.

Well…yeah, probably. There’s been videos of people beating the games hardest bosses at level 1 with nothing but their pants and a club.

But with regards to the draconic tree sentinel you don’t need to not get hit, ever; you need to not get hit by the massively telegraphed and easy to dodge stuff before complaining you’re getting one shot.

If anyone is finding they are struggling to find an area that's suitable for their level here is a map that shows you the order of areas according to difficulty and level.

Of course, there are spoilers there in terms of map areas and names, but if you have got a bit stuck looking for places to explore without getting whooped then it's a life saver.

The fextralife wiki is your absolute best guide.

All I can say from experience as a Glass Cannon is, don't skip on HP. In the earlier levels (shall we say up to 60) I ran with BASE HP and that got me killed in one hit by all bosses which makes for very frustrating moments. All the INT in the world can not protect you from getting hit in the face. Offense is a good defense but I took it way too far. Respecced and now I have a healthy 1200+ HP which allows me at least survive one for two direct hits.

Sorceries are cast with a Staff, Incantations are cast with an... uhm. The other thing. Definitely not a staff. Sorceries aim more at pure offensive skills, Incantations give you support (healing, protecting you and your team mates etc). Fextralife has ALL the info.

Thanks. I’ll take a look.

I didn't really complain much did I, it was one mention in my post and that was it.

It's not like I then decided the game was evil and I'm now done with it.

I'm 56hrs in and my first time playing and loving a From Game.

Imma finish this game eventually and I consider it something special.  It's open world done right for one thing.

And yes I will avoid his obvious attacks in future.

It’s cool, I wasn’t on about you I don’t think. There were a few people all at the same time saying the same thing.

Up against the second "big bad", I think. There's a cutscene and everything.

Spoiler

First phase really is:

And is surprisingly easy, second phase (reminds me a lot of Bayonetta) involving betrayal by a character that just never showed in my run. It doesn't seem too bad, I think I'll get it in a couple of attempts (unless there's a third (don't spoil))

Spoiler

Anyone know where to find the body of the guy who appears as a grumpy red spirit in Round Table Hold, in the sewers of the capital? Fancy pointing me in the right direction?

I only seem to be able to find a rather small area of sewers in that dungeon - with a few hands and rats crawling around. Doesn't really seem to lead anywhere  Must be a larger area of sewers somewhere?

You're close.

Spoiler

Look for a well with a ladder leading down.

Spoiler

Down the stairs from the balcony grace, head out the door them left and jump down.

Hmm ... That actually just seems to be another route into the same small bit sewer that I've already accessed - I've been getting there by going straight out of the door of the Lower Capital Church and down the ladder that's across the courtyard directly in front of me. Is the body down there somewhere and I've just been missing it?

The well leading to the sewer is right under the

Spoiler

dragon wing that you climb

Once you've reached the roadside grace, from there it's

Spoiler

left out the doors, run past two big guys and drop down where a grating is. Run along the passage and you'll find three huge poison plants around the corner. The cell with Dung Eater is up the ladder behind them.

Spoiler

In that room with the hands, there’s a cell door at the back - he’s in there. You can’t open it until you give his phantom version a seedbearers curse thing or something, then he gives you the key to his cell.

I just want to say, I LOVE the animation when you get procced with Death by an enemy, absolutely metal as fuck.

Saw that for the first time this evening when I got trapped by some Basilisks in the "northern" part of Ainsel River lol

(at least it isn't fucking curse!)

You were recently looking for this area. If you haven't found it yet

Spoiler

Follow Ranni's Quest to eventually teleport here. Some good areas on the way, so worth doing.

“Finished” the Capital tonight. M went down second try but I did use the summon and my Jellyfish. Such a spectacular fight though - video games really are amazing.

I don’t see how the game can top this area. I’m just in awe of the size, complexity, and variety of it. I’m definitely not done with the place, but I think I need to retrace my steps a bit as there’s so much I haven’t done. Barely explored the Altus plateau in fact.

How the fuck are you supposed to fight the boss in LoR? Jesus wept!

Spoiler

I've beaten a couple of Dragonkin Soldiers but I'm almost out of everything by the time I get to him.

I've found 4 pillars with buttons and they've raised some platforms but they're no use to me? Wearing highest Rot resistance gear, using the Immunizing Horn Charm and Flame, Cleanse Me spell but the Rot is still murdering me

Can you spoiler that? He’s not long appeared in my game and I’ve been wondering what the deal is with him - should I attack, should I wait and see what happens. Others might soon have him appear too
