I did the first one in your post just now, thank Christ. One of the hardest bosses I've done so far to be honest, his reach was so long and the damage so devastating that he kept pushing me to that awkward mid-distance where you can't respond to a guard break quick enough or spin up a few quick spells. Of course, time I did it was a piece of piss and I barely got hit. 

 

Pretty much with this area now, phew. Quickly head to the roundtable and both my weapon and summon levelled up twice. Boom.

Just found the area to the west of Volcano Manor, more bosses, catacombs, merchants, items. Completely insane how big this is. Still loving every second but bracing myself for the boss run at the end. trying to make myself stupidly OP in the meantime.

I think I was over levelled when I did it, killed him by just pressing L2 about 6 times. 😂

 

 

That's the one. I managed to cheese him by standing on the roof of the building nearby and pelting him with lightning.

 

Have you done the bosses in that area yet, @PeteJ? There are a few...

For what it's worth I've done two of the bosses I presume must be in a final boss run and bested them both first time.  I'm mad strong.  I'm sure you're mad strong too man.  That Wyrm sword sounds like a good distraction after a bit more coop..  I respecced to get the faith required for the horrible dragon breath incantations, lets see how this goes! :D

Thanks, makes me feel better!

 

The Rotten Breath is amazing, knocks enemies back (good for ledges) and keeps ticking with damage for ages after you've blasted them. I usually go into a big fight with my +10 Mimic with both of us armed with Rotten Breath and the Wyrm Sword, utter carnage, death, blood and fire everywhere!

Decided to give dual wield a serious go tonight.  I did much better on the bloomin Godskin Nobel, getting him down to 20% one time, but still can't kill him (he's not even a proper boss!), and then did an easy boss on first attempt, without even summoning anyone, which is a first, so I think I'm a dual wield convert.

Also discovered another Catacombs within the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds. WTF? I thought I'd already explored that area after getting to the

Can we just have a shout out for the music in Raya Lucaria Academy. Just ran through on my new character and it has such a great atmosphere, a mix between grand Archives, Research Hall and Upper Cathedral Ward with a side order of Ashina rooftops.

I used it but by accident and too early. It's what got me killed on my 1st attempt. Didn't need it on the 2nd attempt as Mimic & I destroyed him in seconds lol. Dragon Ice followed by Ekzyke's Decay while the Mimic set about him with Corpse Piler.

Chugged potions through his nutty health chunking spell then resumed the spanking. I assume that's the move it negates.

Trying out some arcane incantations, since I have high Arc stat and the dragon seal + 9..  Them flies are pretty great!  Next goal is to grind out some levels to use the dragon incants.. oh yeah! 

 

Having said that, this is a tough boss for others, out of about 15 tries so far this evening only two have been successful!  

I see a lot of spirits running around wearing that hat, so figured it must be pretty special. What is it/ what does it do?

It doesn't do anything special it's Malikeths and it looks cool. I think you may be confusing it with Radhan's though which is the one everyone seems to wear and has red hair rather than the grey. Again nothing special except it looks cool.

Why, yes you can. I levelled up my strength, and I can now wield katana and Lordsworn's greatsword. Looks good.

Get attacked by multiple invaders

In the big area. I am suspicious about the big arena with the creepy thing in the roots, but nothing happened and I can't find the NPC it references. 

 

Tonight I progressed a few quests but didn't do a great deal. Switched to two swords now and a quick-swap to a staff.  Also changed my entire look, losing the ugly stone head I've used since the academy. Drops Dex and Int quite a bit, but fancied a change.
