Am I misremembering or did enemies used to appear temporarily on the minimap when they fired or made a noise? I only see enemies when there's a UAV now. Is that new?

Yeah they changed that at some point. It's not new but it's also not the traditional way. Instead arrows appear on the compass to suggest where someone is.

Hadn’t even noticed the compass!

Edit: This makes sense now with the shouted headsup alerts from your team mates about enemy position - "enemies in the barn!" is now more useful when BARN is clearly marked on the compass along with red dots! I'd totally ignored that part of the HUD. The map is completely pointless with this, isn't it?

Played multi all day and don't feel like I've had any unfair or annoying deaths, all my deaths were because of me being rubbish and not thinking about what I was doing. Plenty to learn and improve on as well as upgrading and unlocking all those sweet perks and weapon parts will keep me going for months.

This game is so random in hit quality. One minute you win every one on one and the next game same gun and map even and every shot is lost.

The game is just full of campers with no proper silent running so just encourages camping.

Shotguns way over powered

Germans have massive server advantage

No hardcore mode for FFA, why not when in every CoD?

And you seem unable to control a game

Nice campaign but multiplayer is broken

Has anyone trying the MK2 Marksman Rifle?

Christ, that thing is amazing in Hardcore Mode. I was using the FAL religiously until I unlocked that. It's got a slower fire rate and more kick but if you can tame those traits, it's incredible in mid-long range 1v1 - near enough every impact is 1-hit kill.

Slowly levelling up my way to 47 in order to get the SCAR, tried that in single player and loved it. Felt like a fully automatic desert eagle.

Can't have those pesky Jerries getting the upper hand can we, old boy!

I've honestly not experienced any of the issues you mentioned and I really hope that the devs don't take any notice of the noise that people like you are generating all over reset era and Reddit. The entitled, whiny bullshit like "multiplayer is broken" when I've just sunk 14 blissful hours into it makes me want to gouge my own eyes out. I'm actively avoiding reading anything about this game outside of this forum now, it's enough to make me despise gaming for life.

This guy gets it.

Really temped now, but on Eurogamer quite a lot of people claim that Activision will patch monetisation elements into the game, post launch. Is this what's going to happen?

Enjoying this so far. Yesterday my wife was away kite surfing all day and MW had finished downloading around 8am. Campaign is good, not jaw dropping but it's good. As folk have said it's nice to go back to a linear single player rather than some faux ubi RPG.

Multiplayer: I did ok yesterday in TDM and FFA matches. Got up this morning to have a quick blast before heading to work :seanr: TDM on Picadilli 1 kill and 14 deaths. I was just all over the shop. Still it's early days yet.

In some way shape or form they will attempt to extract more money from the player base. They have proven in the past untrustworthy with regards to what they say and what they actually do on this subject.

Is there a username / Gamertag sheet for this - especially now that it's crossplay?  The barracks is pretty cool for comparing stats, but I hardly have any of you on my friends list.

I'm Omizzay2 on PSN and Activision ID.

Y3GRP on PS4.

This is great, but damn I need to upgrade my weps. I picked up some guys gun he'd dropped and won the next 4 or 5 encounters when I'd lost pretty much all before it. If you have beginner, upgraded guns you are pretty much fucked.

You know what I like about the campaign? No. Fucking. Collectibles.

Yeah and all the Achievements/ Trophies are rock hard too. Is this the norm with COD now? The last one I played was probably Ghosts.

A few more rounds on MP and things are starting to click. Back to decent K/D and enjoying it a hell of a lot more.

Is Kill Confirmed in this release?

Kill Confirmed is available in private matches so reckon it’s just a matter of time until it’s added in to the playlists
