But they have a lot of work to do with the servers before they become playable. Dying before you even see the enemy round the corner is quite annoying.

They haven't added a 0 too many, your connection to the Battlenet servers is not working properly, have you tried opening ports? rebooting your router? turning upnp off and back on?

I'd hazard there's some unifying factor between the people having high ping being ISP/router based. I had problems exclusive to Battlefield which I only sorted after fucking about with the router settings and changing cables and even then I have no idea which change helped. Every other online game didn't have the same problem. The thing is with technology is it's a fucking bastard that follows its own rules and wants to make your life miserable.

Not had many gripes with lag. Whenever I feel hard done by I watch the kill cam which confirms my shitness.

 

I am getting better though. Waiting for the new Elite controller to arrive to get stuck into it today.

My wife honestly believes the internet has a personal vendetta against her. 

 

'Why are we paying Virgin for such shitty internet!!' she says as a website she is trying to browse to doesn't work  whilst me and my two sons all play different online games all at the same time with sub 20ms pings

My ping is constantly shown as really high regardless of whether I am wired or wifi (my Internet IS a bit pish at the moment and I suspect some problem with the router) but it definitely doesn't feel like it, I suspect the ping measurement might not be very accurate.

It is accurate it just doesnt update as frequently as running a constant ping to an address.

It is an error saw a YouTube clip about it, lots of people have ping showing more than 500 ms. My connection is fine, every other game plays normally and my NAT is open. This is not on my side, just Google it and you'll see that lots of people have problems with server connections. It is not 500 ms bad but there are clearly some network issues that need to be sorted.

 

Just start a game of Ground War and just stand still and look at the people around you moving about. There is a jerkiness to the animations which reminds me of old time BF4 before that was sorted.

Sometimes I feel like I’m playing against bots. That was the case to begin with in COD Mobile and these opponents really aren’t much more convincing. After two years of relying on gyro control on Switch, my aim is at an all time low but I’m winning more gunfights than ever. :blink2:
 

I am playing on PS4 with a Razer Raiju Tournament controller that I got for free, though. Maybe that has something to do with it. :eyebrows:

FFA totally broken still and event more now with shotgun campers planting claymores or m4 campers.

 

And now playing against experts at level 100+ who don’t have lives and have perfected every camping corner.

Cause it's skill based matchmaking. I think they might change it. 

 

Stop playing FFA, you clearly aren't enjoying it and the game is definitely designed around team objective play.

Maxed out the first marksman rifle and I absolutely love it.

 

4 of us have been playing search and destroy constantly and then switching to 2vs 2 private gun fight, without a doubt the best mode in the game.

 

Any one interested in a private gunfight tournament in teams of two? I can organise it.

Sorry to be blunt, but why the fuck are you playing this? Every post I've read since release your not happy with X, this is broken that's fucked and more campers than a summer sale at Millets. 

 

If it's not doing anything for you, if you get zero enjoyment stop playing it. Life's too short.

We've been playing lots of it. So much fun. 

 

I'm 7/8 hours ahead of you so will only be able to join at the weekends but we should organise a little tournament. First to 5wins of 6 progresses or something.

For sure . It’s definitely the best game mode . Just to check though ,  everyone hates gulag showers , right ?
