I'm more excited than anyone to play this, but... I am going to wait until tomorrow rather than go to the hassle of changing my regions. I've waited a year for this so I can wait a few hours more ;) First airport I am going to fly from will be Bembridge on the Isle of Wight and do a quick trip over to Southampton. I imagine people will typically be wanting to see their house first, but not me... that's where I'll go. Used to go on holiday near there, so that's first on my list. Then I guess I'll see where I end up... :)

I want to start at Lulsgate, then go to the west coast and up and around Bristol :)

Still playing with settings but at least for something I appear to be cpu bound. I'm currently running at 1440p/70%, all medium and running quite well. There's certainly room for change to that I suspect.

 

Just did a lovely chill flight down some mountain valleys.

how many GB? Mine has got to about 45GB down, but no dice on starting.

I think it was a mistake caused by me logging out of the VPN, it took me to an onboarding screen that let me choose online/offline, input, assists and so on, but none of them had the proper text, just the developer strings. I closed out and went back in and it's continuing the download.

VPN you don't need no stinking vpn with the MS store. Go into the windows region settings and just change it to somewhere forren that's already past midnight. 

 

I'm loving this now. My fps issues are purely cpu related. Some of the options and we'll need DF to tell us which are the worst, heavily hit your cpu. I just flew from Brighton north for a bit at around 45fps most on high and it was bloody lovely.

Uh oh. That does not bode well as my CPU is pushing on six years old, and my 980 Ti is not much fresher at 4 or 5 years old. 

 

The 3000 series cannot come round soon enough as I am long overdue a PC upgrade.

I have  a quick tech question.  I use a Shadow for PC gaming.  There is an ongoing problem with Gamepass on PC in that it wont install any games.  You need to create a new disc formatted to NTFS.  However, due to the file size on this game I have created a VHD as it was the only option.  Will that VHD disappear when I turn my PC off?  I have selected the option to keep the disc on the machine in the hope that sorts it.
