(Some) Streamers Are The Best!

I stream but I'm not very "professional" about it - I don't do VO or facecam, and as long as a picture's appearing on my channel I'm happy.

Since my YouTube has random creative stuff, I've considered using my Twitch channel for classic playthroughs - I've made playlists for Celeste and Sound Shapes so far, but other streams had been abandoned due to copyright issues with soundtracks. I also enjoy doing short seasonal streams around Halloween and Christmas (for example) so you might be able to find some of that in my highlights...

I don't have any streams planned right now. Maybe if I close in on the end of my Persona stuff I'll stream the finale!

What would be really useful is a table in the OP which lists: ForumID, twitch/YT URL, and some indication as to whether they're actively streaming.

Then it'd be quite easy to go round and follow them etc.

That's the plan, once there are enough people to actually make a table from.

Well i stream to twitch and youtube.

Twitch  - twitch.tv/adhgamingtwitch

Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/adhgaming

My main game is Super Mario Maker 2, although i play Mario Kart 8 DX maybe twitch a month with the occasional Smash Bros or other Nintendo game mixed in. I also do Retro games occasionally as well.

My community is bigger on Youtube although i do get several people showing up for my SMM2 streams on Twitch now. My streams are generally chilled, interactive and drama free.

My Blue Yeti mic died after just two months of use, 18hrs before the WoW Classic stress test. Amazing.

Now the support ticket is just sat there not moving at all. FFS. Should have bought it from Amazon. That teaches me to support a local retailer!

My twitch is adhgamingtwitch  =) you have linked to someone else..

Fixed, sorry.

I have my new mic working fine (now through Adobe Audition, so sounds great), I just need to clear a ton of work before WoW hits next week. The FFVII run is unfortunately on ice for the time being. :(

Interesting. Is this basically Twitch's equivalent of OBS or XSplit? Hopefully it's something decent - when I was first discovering streaming I found it a bit intimidating to learn the Twitch workings and find some broadcasting software I liked, so it could be useful for newcomers. :)

I will be streaming some more when Mental Health Gaming is more established (and I have a mic, the one I used broke straight away)

It will be mainly a variety of games that I get hold of and either do a Quick Play of, or talk about Mental Health over.

Also followed everyone on here.

Just seen this thread. I stream WoW Classic everynight when I play, just in case something good happens. So far (level 42) it’s been pretty unspectacular.

I don’t talk over it or do anything particularly engaging but you wanna watch my screen while I play WoW Classic for two hours every night, you can do so on my Twitch channel here:bye:

I had a little look at the Twitch Studio Beta today. It's pretty easy to set up and there's a nice feature set, but perhaps my favourite thing is that it has all of your Twitch stuff in the application, so there's no more having to open a browser to change your stream details, or opening your own stream and popping out the chat. It's definitely worth a look. :)

I've just been using this rather than StreamLabs OBS but I can't tell if there's an overlay or not, probably doesn't help that I get a maximum of 2 viewers and no one chatting, but it would be nice if messages appeared over the game so I could respond to them.

I just realised that I posted this in the wrong thread, so I've removed that and I'm re-posting here...

If anyone cares about daft RPG nonsense, I'm currently attempting to stream Half-Minute Hero's "Hero 30" mode, with one chapter being completed each week (usually Monday evenings.) I started at the beginning of the year and I've just finished chapter three... although I'm just aiming to get to the end, rather then getting high scores or 100% or anything...

https://www.twitch.tv/qazimod/videos

So I guess my profile in the OP is more

Genre: Half-Minute Hero
Schedule: Monday evenings - until I finish Half-Minute Hero, then it will revert to "no schedule".

Currently I'm live streaming for an hour(ish) at 9:30pm UK time on YouTube while the lockdown is going on to help cheer people up, also it's just nice to have a chat with fellow gamers about gaming.

Today's Stream will be on Burnout 2: Point of Impact on the Gamecube here's the link, for when it goes up later:

Here's a sample of one of the streams I did last week, Monday to Thursday are single game stream. Friday is a versus fighter stream.

Our YT Channel URL is: https://www.youtube.com/c/RandomisedGamingYouTube

(Stream should appear in the welcome video when we go live.)

Having just started streaming yesterday, you guys got any tips for it? I ask because I do have a goal in mind to work towards as I would like to turn it into something that I can use to bring in extra income that I can donate to a charity close to my heart.

I'm set up through just the PS4 for now and i've just had a camera turn up today so is there anything else that's a must get?

Best advice is to pick a theme of your stream, so your viewers know what you streams are about. If you plan on donating all the money you earn to charity then I would mention that in the stream. Many sure it's something you enjoy doing, nothing worse than streaming a game you don't like.

I use Open Broadcast Studio to stream, it's a great free to download piece of software: https://obsproject.com/
