As much as I'd like the Bills to get there, I'd obviously much prefer the Browns :). But if we can't, then yeah - definitely behind the Bills!

 

Oh, and Myles Garrett got 4.5 sacks yesterday against the Bears!

In other news, Trevor Lawrence and Joe Burrow are very very good. Great game last night. 

Burrow is good yeah but the juries out on Lawrence at the moment, he certainly doesn’t look like a generational talent yet that’s for sure.

Lawrence is still sometimes making the kinds of throws you can get away with in college, but in the NFL they'll get picked off fast. There's flashes of quality there, but Jacksonville as a team aren't the best so maybe it'll get better when the O-Line will actually be able to block consistently.

 

I'm hoping Baltimore don't have to perform the same kinds of heroics this week (or get away with an uncalled Delay of Game penalty ;) ), up against a Broncos team who are unbeaten but they've only played pretty bad teams up to now.

I did enjoy that! Barely understood a word, but it was fun all the same. Also, hats off to whichever people manage to coordinate two anthems with two different singers to hit the last word of Star-Spangled Banner at the exact moment the flypast crosses the stadium.

The football was reasonably entertaining too this time I thought, as a very casual viewer. Some nice mixtures of skill, brawn and incompetence.

The Cowboys are looking very good, at long last!

offence looking so good with Adam back, two running backs in great form and an O-line protecting better than we’ve seen in a while. Dak is making decisions quickly which really helps too. 
Parsons is showing his early draft pick value and Diggs looks the real deal.

Even better is that they still have some significant injuries on both offence and defence so should only get better.

why does anyone throw a punch to a helmet? Surely most likely damage is to your own hand 😆

Gruden being sacked was a surprise nd I assumed it was results based. But after hearing what it was actually for he could never of stayed employed. Seems like it was a mattwr of time until this happened, hes pretty fucked for any football job now surely?

He is done as a coach. So the racist email came out the other day. He is there claiming he is not a racist, some ex players defend him. He is a rich, white guy with incredible connections, it looks like he might survive. Then he gets hit with everything, anti gay comments, sexist comments, attacking black players for kneeling, saying player safety concerns were a joke. He went from losing his locker room to pissing off everyone.

 

Sadly I can see him turning up on a Fox Sports in a few years but as a coach, no chance, he is toxic.

One of the highest-earning coaches ever off the back of Tampas superbowl win 20 years ago. 100m from the Raiders, plus his espn and QB camp stuff

 

As an aside the excellent Playmakers series is on YouTube in its entirety. Well worth a watch.

Whats sad is Keyshawn Johnson who played under Gruden said he had always been a fraud and like this behind the scenes. Then got shouted down by alot of people until all the other comments came out.

 

Gruden did very well to set up a certain media image of himself. Its not protecting him from this though. I think they were saying this leak was 150'000 emails. He is just the first domino to fall. I bet there is loads around the league terrified right now.
