Is there anything that Lottie hasn't done in her entire 19 years on the earth?

interacted with people without sneering?

On all of the sales based tasks where Thomas' team lost , i wish there was a breakdown of who sold what, becasue he was definitely edited on the show to be the best at sales and getting deals. God Speed my Viking!

If the episode had any semblance of truth to it we'd apparently have about 15 different companies simultaneously using the exact same song for their commercial.

I wonder how long they were given to 'remix' that track and how much meaningful input they actually had in it. I'd guess little to none and the remix had probably mostly already been done by the time they arrived.

The girls perfume, name aside perhaps, looks pretty genuine i'd say. The advert though, yuck, funny how the youngest peraon gave us a dated advert.

The mixed team thpigh, fucking hell that was awful in every way bar the small it seems. Im sure Pamela said on the phone "i dont want to see mountains" or similar? It almost seemed like a sabotage job from Lewis.

Dean had to go. He was completely shit and had managed to fluke his way through this far.

"Power is calling"

Highlight of the series to date.

Yes! I was half asleep and that line woke me up with an involuntary belly laugh!

On a more depressing note,  I found out yesterday that my 15 year old daughter is made to watch this shite every week as part of her business studies course. Worst of all its presented as is with no commentary from the teacher so the kids think "this is business"

Make sure she knows that going shopping with her friends or family doeant make her Anna Wintour. If Lottie puts petrol in her car she'd say tbat makes her  cheif mechanic at Ferrari.

I wonder if she really believes this "music industry for 15 years", "perfume expert" stuff or shes just puffing up her feathers for TV? It Sseems pretty genuine which is kinda worrying at least Scarlet and Karina (whom i think will win) werent having it.

This may ramble on a bit but I think the Apprentice mirrors wider things in aspects of business and society

Sure it's not a pure business programme, that would be dull, but there are lessons to learn for people watching it. Several personality types you see in offices are usually on display (the stay in the background blagger, the I told you so after the event merchant, the self declared expert on everything etc). If youngsters watch it critically they can observe and learn from that.

There are some fundamental lessons in there about team working, using people in areas they are good at, economics (don't spend more than you can sell for, keep track of costs),  never lose sight of the brief/spec you are working on.

So is it a serious representation of 'business', nope, could it be used as something to teach some concepts if viewed critically and discussed, yes.

Then I get to people like Lottie, she seems a product of a wealthy upbringing fused with the X Factor reality TV learned post truth view of your own abilities. Somebody wails thru Angels by Robbie Williams to get Cowell's wrath, only for them to declare they will sell millions of records and he's missing out.

Reality TV, politics, the news have all taught sections of society to ignore experts and believe in your own dream.

I suspect there is a good academic paper in tying back Apprentice contestants over the years to prevailing wider things in society.

Or maybe I'm over thinking it and they are all just cocky gobshites.

With the numerous spelling mistakes, surely the people who are on the computer doing what the contestants ask are typing it up rather than the contestant spelling every word for them? In addition to 'indepedent' and 'parfam', the other perfume had 'breath in the scent' on the box which went completely ignored.

I did wonder about that, but I wouldn't put it past the producers to get the Photoshop monkeys to introduce spelling mistakes on purpose just to see if the candidates pull them up on it. Even if that's not the case, it's a constant source of surprise how much supervision some people require to do their jobs correctly.

Lewis did actually spell out "parfam" and the guy on the computer just said "oh OK". I bet he'd been told not to interfere even if he knew it was wrong!

I do wonder about the designers. They probably get a half-decent rate for not much effort, but their hearts must sink knowing they've got to spend the best part of the day listening to a bunch of numpties coming up with names for PARFAM like Eventuality or Cocksweat, then jumping around the room saying they've 'smashed it' when the designer hits send.

Tears teased during the preview for the interviews. Think Karina and Scarlet will make the final two now; both have appeared to be the most 'normal' and probably the most consistently capable. The pair of them shutting down Lottie's bullshit on last night's episode was glorious. Can see why Pamela has been flying under the radar, she's less decisive than Dean! Crikey.

There was an article in the newspapers about her actually photoshopping her instagram pics and getting caught out because Dean posted the same picture that she did and it was different. I have to keep reminding myself sometimes that she is only 19, but then I wonder is she really a librarian or does she just have a lot of bookcases in her parents house

As someone who has been around the music industry, I found this whole episode most annoying. It just doesn't work like that and if it did I would be rich.

Not if Thomas was your agent you wouldn’t. 50/50 - can’t say fairer than that!
