Sometimes you have to force the issue. They now just say no, instead reply back saying their delivery contract is with analogue, not you and then all of a sudden they’ll remove it.

If all these companies won’t deal with you when it’s shipped by someone else then they can also not deal with you when they want to collect money.

Can't see why it would. What i suggest saying is that you have no issue paying the VAT, but you did not agree to their fee and ask them to prove that you signed and agreed to their admin fee for delivering your product. Obviously they won't and then they'll remove it. Might take a go or two depending on the CS person you get, because as usual its mostly outsourced to people who are just following a guide and can't deviate from it.

I wonder if things are okay up in Analogue towers.

V.1.1 of the promised Pocket firmware with all those features and library functions (despite no legit ROM loading) still isn't here.

No change to their social media policy of non-communication.

Analogue have yet to respond to notable MiSTer FPGA core programmer Jotego's request to be a developer for the 2nd FPGA core.. precisely the kind of professional they'd want onboard? He's written dozens of accurate cores. Snubbing him makes no sense unless that entire programme never got rolling.

I don't think it's nitpicky to mention this. Global part shortage shouldn't affect this stuff.

Its made by Teenage Engineering right, so this par for course really.

It isn’t. Are you getting mixed up with the Playdate? I think that Teenage Engineering helped design that.

yeah you're right, I thought it was designed and produced by them.

It still doesn't run flashcarts like real hardware does, which is a trivial fix they could've enabled months ago.

But it runs real, actual game carts.

Yeah that is the whole point of it, but its just nice to run everything on one card too.

i get that, it would be a bonus.

But we shouldn’t use this as a stick to beat it with.

does it do it’s primary function? Absolutely and really well too

can it run roms/ flash cards in future updates? Possibly yes.

that’s what I knew when I paid for it, and what it’s doing now I’ve got it

Ignore me. I'm just being picky because the device is expensive, and I been spoiled by other similar devices where I can just stick everything on. However, the Pocket looks like everything I want in a modern GB.

The latest FunnyPlaying laminated IPS screens make a Gameboy Colour a legit amazing experience if that’s the platform you want to play games on.

It’s on the fence about the accompanying replacement shells. They look and feel great, but they’re a bit brittle making assembly annoying.

They work with flash carts.

Besides from the IPS screen, my only other wish is to have to usb charging as I don't want to be swapping out batteries all the time. Its why I haven't gone down this route yet.

USB charging is quite cheap to add in tbh, I did a hodge bodge one a while back on an old system that didn't work 100%, just used a DS battery and a USB-C charging circuit ;)
