Fuuuck, he was such a prick. JP is by a distance the most detestable villain on TV since Joffrey on Game of Thrones.

JohnC
Almost finished Bad Sisters. Just wanted to say it took far too long for me to recognise Tyres.

I think it’s his incessant use of the word ‘mammy’ that really twists the knife.
Sabreman
A second season of The Mosquito Coast just started. I stuck out the first season, but more out of bloody-mindedness than genuine engagement. I just assumed it had been quietly consigned to the bin.

The other half and myself started watching Defending Jacob last night and watched 4 of the 8 episodes I think. Some stellar performances so far, especially from Jacob.
Mallet
I have never used Apple TV before so forgive my stupid questions. I don't need to subscribe to Apple TV plus to rent or buy a film, correct? Also, why does Apple TV have so many more films available in 4k than Amazon? is it a case of Apple paying to have them converted or something? hub2
Yes, Apple TV app is basically the iTunes movie/TV store. Apple TV + is their subscription service with Apple exclusive content Probably so they can shift units of their Apple TV 4K hardware product?
pledge
But Amazon also sell 4k Fire TV devices.
MrHendo
Finished Defending Jacob. A 5 star series and all fans of bleak dramas should jump right in. There were a couple of moments where I thought I’d figured out where it was going and I was dead wrong.

Justin Theroux is usually amazing, but he cant' save this. It is just so boring.

Just started watching it But I am not sure it's interesting. By the way guys, I look for a good streaming device, any recommendations? Any roku reviews? Among all the main devices, I read a lot of good reviews of roku and firestick. Which device is better? Who can explain the details?
GwiDan
Started watching Acapulco, and it’s a surprisingly delightful comedy - set in a resort in Mexico, rags to riches story about a guy who starts as a pool boy there, it’s very colourful and feel good. ckny
We're rinsing Apple TV+ as another free trial period ends soon. Causeway, a movie starring Jennifer Lawrence is decent. Black Bird, as has been discussed previously in here, is really really good. We're currently watching Five Days at Memorial, which I've not seen discussed in here. It's about the five days following Hurricane Katrina at Memorial Hospital in NOLA. Grimly compelling and gripping, but with some characters and scenes straight from a direct to DVD melodrama.
