Anyone having issues with buying the points for gamepass? Given the rewards quest I bought the points to buy the battle pass (and that quest hasn’t popped either) but in game I’m still showing as having 0 points and if I try to buy the battle pass I have to buy points....

Yup! Tried 4 times and it's pending...

Hmm, I looked in war zone and I have 1100 points in that game....

 

Edit, went back into Cold War and points are there so battlepass bought - they seem very linked together now even if war zone is running on MW the progression seems tied up so maybe needed to fire both up - had to watch the same intro in both games too...

Yup that worked! Bonkers!

 

Must say I am loving all the new stuff. 

 

Betted on the Krig6 being the AR of choice pre patch, and it absolutely shreds in Warzone. Half way to the 300 wins calling card that looks incredible so if they keep dropping cool shit like this I may just get there before getting bored! 

 

Mac10 is supposed to be filthy too, so get some double exp tokens into that bad lad!

How do I upgrade a digital copy of the XB1 version to the SX version? I was gifted a code installed and I can't find anywhere to upgrade it.

 

Only thing I can find online says to buy the cross gen bundle and pay the difference, but that shows the full £65 for me.

This is very strange after playing Modern Warfare. It feels very floaty and fluffy. Team Deathmatch isn't the campfest it seems to be in MW, mind.  I like that it keeps the killstreak score between deaths. Mainly because I'm shit.

 

Lots of people with TRIAL by their name that are level 50+ already, which is a thing. Double XP, yo.

 

It's a week long so I'll prolly keep bobbing in to check it out. Not sure I'll get back on the CoD wagon after falling off during MWs later seasons.

I'm playing this as part of the free weekend on my new PS5 and it's bloody good! I used to be well into COD back in the day and dabbled a bit with the more recent MW and WWII efforts. 

 

This is very enjoyable and the maps I've encountered have been good.

 

The shopping mall one is awesome!

Yeah this is really annoying. I'm really enjoying it. For fucks sake.

 

Still, I'm not sure if it's because there are new maps to learn, new weapons to unlock and level up, all that shit or if the game is actually good. 

 

There's still a lack of weight to it all, the ttk seems a bit odd, the maps range from claustrophobic to too large and whoever decided Counter UAVs should be a 2 shot kill needs a shoeing. It's got that CoD something though.

It's £52 for the Series X version. 

 

I'm not going to bother, multiplayer just annoyed me and can't justify paying that much for a short single player. 

 

Will pick it up when it's less than £20.

Found a solution for the stuttering on Series X! At least it's working so far.

 

If it seems less than 60fps in the menu when you boot the game (a good indication of impending stutter) just press the Xbox button on the controller to load the dash sidebar then B to get rid of it and voila - fixed.

 

Seems for some reason the game is booting and locking to what seems like 1080p30. Loading the sidebar seems to remind it that it's running on a Series X.

 

I've no idea how or why this workaround works but it does.

 

Makes paying an extra €5 for the "next gen" version that little bit more weird.

That sacrifice gets you ray tracing, 4k and stable 60fps.

Just bought the cross gen bundle on the store using £50 wallet top up for £44.85 from shop to I’m guessing it knows I’m PS5 and downloads the right version ?

 

Also with the game sharing if I log into a ps4 console of a friend can they get the PS4 version for free ?

Just bought the full game. 

 

First time I have got into the multiplayer in a cod game for more than 30 mins since the 360 days. At first it didn't click for the first hour then I had 2 games in a row where I got over 40 kills and just thought "this is fun"

The PS5 version will just have the title of the game, the PS4 version is appended with PS4, it probably will try to download both.

That's right, they can login with your details and activate their PS4 as your accounts primary PS4 and then they can play your digital games without your account being signed in.

On the PS app search 'black ops cold' and it's the fifth one, says 'free access' and its categorised bundle, so maybe search that on the PS5 shop too? Look sharp because it's only on till tomorrow.
