I know there's a quick way to earn one in the (if you have it) Hitman 1 Marrakesh Escalation as a reward. Completing those gives you a silenced sniper.

I only own H3, and more recently H2 with the free PS+ download. So doubt I can acces Marrakesh level unfortunately.

I’ve scrolled through all the challenge stuff and noticed there’s several snipers rewarded for high level mastery, which seems a bit odd to lock them away from the core play through…

Looks like I’ll keep playing the Abu Dhabi level up to lvl 15 to try and unlock one for now.

Throwing irons and coconuts at peoples faces is definitely fun, I’ll give you that. 😄

I guess I just miss some of the old Blood money levels, like that theatre level where you could set up your sniper in the back of the auditorium and shoot at the “right time” and still get a silent assassin rating. Or ‘A new Life’ where I could shoot the old dude through the Windows from a neighbouring house whilst he watches TV.

Just would have been nice to have some more sniper-based options in the main game, for added variety you know?

Oh there are those as well though, some of the other level challenges are sniper based. I think it's done like that so you can't just shoot your targets from ages away too early without seeing any of the clockwork 'opportunities' they have set up for you.

I'm sure once you unlock one you can use it on any mission too?

Is this worth the current £27.49 on PSN? I’m really tempted.

Both H1 and H2 have been on PS Plus, do you have either of those? Also it regularly goes for £30ish physically so you could get that if in doubt and sell it on if it’s not for you.

I was loving playing through this on and off, starting at H1, but Colorado is really testing my patience. Just nowhere near as fun as the other levels.

I once killed every single person on that level.... 😁 Because it was annoying me.

I liked Colorado but I think its failing is that because it's only so big and there's 3 targets that there's a lot less room to sensibly freestyle anything.  There's very little area of the level that isn't..."Hot".  So you're slightly railroaded into the developer's ideas rather than your own.

No, the Hitman 3 levels do look a bit washed out. Don’t go changing your set. You can knock the gamma down in the game a little to compensate, if it bothers you.

The Hitman 1 and 2 levels in the same game don’t look like that, so it’s an artistic choice. An odd one but there you go.

It looks like the black levels are set up wrong, as in pushing out 16-235 to my screen set up for 0-255. But if the PC version is like that too, I guess it’s deliberate.

I thought maybe it was my TV/PS5 as the PS5 dashboard has always looked washed out compared to the PS4.

That does sound good, would be interesting if they tied in (which it sounds like they will, just not clear how) could have things similar to crackdown's idea of taking out the armory would mean worse guns in the final mission and so on. Maybe you could do a mission earlier which would switch off some cameras/ security but that might mean missing out on something else etc etc.

I do like hitman so I'll give it a look regardless but it sounds interesting.

I want to get back into this, it’s been a few months. I’ve put a lot of hours in though. Got all the trophies from the first game and did all the trophies for the first in the second game etc etc.

really pleased they’re keeping things going. All that hard work with making a platform from 2016? Is really paying off massively.

I have just started with H2 (in H3, confusing!) And my god is this incredible! The opening mission sets you up so nicely, but Florida is quite overwhelming at first, but once you start to pick away it all comes together. I love that you can just point blank blow someone's face clean off, and then still shuffle away switching disguises etc. I feel like I have been missing out for the last 6 years.

Finally figured out an efficient sneaky way to Florida and it just blew my mind. The level designers are sensational at IO. The game gives me the same dopamine hit that the Soulsborne, or Returnal gave me. Make me feel like I am getting better with every minute played, only to start a new level and have to do it all again!

Apart from not playing these years ago, I regret not starting them at the start of the Christmas holidays! Thankfully I have a couple weeks off in Feb!! (One dedicated to Elden Ring ofcourse... What? I may aswell have gaming holidays since actual holidays at the minute are an absolute nightmare!)

Yeah the level designs offer all sorts of ingenious ways to take out targets. The variety of them is really pleasing too, mixing scope and scale with more concentrated maps.

As a trilogy of games think it was the most consistently enjoyable series of the last gen, evolving enough with each iteration but never losing the thrill of the core mechanics. The post-release input by the developers is gold standard too.

Oh for sure it seems legit, I have only played 2, but have 3 ready to go, but tempted to buy the first game with DLC, the DLC for 2 and the Season Pass for 3.

So the extra content is good?

I think for me to have everything it is gonna set me back £34, plus the £20 I paid for 3. I feel like the time I have had with 2 so far is worth the £54 by itself, so it seems like a no brainer if I am honest!
